That place is overrated, their bread isn’t fresh. Try panino toscani or i girone de ghiotti, both are within 10 minutes walking. Better food and a fraction of the price

I wasn't in Florence when I ate my first sandwich in Italy but I have to say the sandwiches I ate in Italy were the best i have ever eaten. I wish I knew how they make their bread and lunch meat.
I have relatives in Genoa and we would go to the salumaria and get sandwiches with prosciutto, dry salami, provolone, olive oil and balsamic, then sit at the bistro table outside, eat our sandwich with a glass of chianti and have the cool ocean air hitting us. I could sleep for hours afterwards.
It's so nice in florence. Im only a 2 hour flight from there, me and the mrs go away every month for a long weekend, stuff our faces and take in some culture. We did florence 4 times last year. Easy jet and ryan Air do flights from £1 per person all over europe. All pretty quick flight times. Everyone in the uk should be doing this. 12 short trips a year, flights and hotel costs the same as a night out in london. It's an absolute win. UA-cam shorts definitely help us pick where to go 😂 we chase the hyped up food!. Btw the sandwich in the video is a solid 9.4/10. Beautiful.

I go to the one near Washington Square all the time…the absolute BEST part about the place, when the line is long, they’ll cut you off some hot focaccia that’s fresh out of the over for the wait. Sometimes you just want a puce of that after trying it and say forget the rest of the sandwich. *forgot to mention…what’s cool is they’ll let you freestyle SOME things, like if you another cheese or whatever, but I always chuckle the second I hear someone ask for additional meat. “Sorry, sir, we can’t put 2 meats on a sandwich.” “Why not?” “Owner’s rules.”
