This is great! I’ve been watching all blue Bossa videos from your channel these days. The new set up is fantastic! Thanks for all those in-depth demonstrations for learners!
That´s was wonderful sir..! Thanks for share... ❤🩹🎼🎵🎶
Thanks tony for the updated video. Nice keyboard shots. I’ve saved all your blue bossa videos in notes on my iPhone. Handy reference. Thanks again! You and kent Hewitt are my favorite teachers!!!
Cool concepts, easy and understandable, thanks tony!
As always, thanks for sharing all your good knowledge with all of us Tony. Keep up the good work!
awesome, huge thanks for all your work!!!
Awesome. Thanks Tony!
THANK YOU for just playing to start. So many people just jabber on.
Appreciate the lesson, Tony! Super valuable!
Tony after years following your tutorials I finally got to play and memorize a whole song including melody, chord and improvisation on the piano 🎹 and It’s a great achievement for an ukulele player switching to piano very lately. Now I am eagerly waiting for the next step, what standard do you usually teach after this to your beginner level jazz students? Please don’t say Giant steps, as I am capable only of dwarf steps, Thanks 🙏 maestro!
Muchas gracias!! Really, It's a pleasure to have such a good professional as a teacher. No matter how easy or complicated stuff, you go right to the point. Simply amazing the way you do.
Man. Thank you very much. I'm learning a lot from your tutorials. 🎹👏
Excelent explanation about chords it is perfect
I'm going to follow this progression; Thank you for share us this lesson! 🇧🇷

Very nice studio Tony and very great Teacher!!!
Thanks Tony, I’m sure everyone likes the new set up. A lot quicker way to learn the inversions.
Thanks for the tutorial! You got a nice studio setup and I understand the benefits for us viewers, but the sound of your grand piano speaks for itself!
Love the content, looking forward to more videos! :)
Nice job!!!
The best!
Thank you!
Thank you Mr. Tony. You have elevated my piano playing to a higher level. I am a songwriter, so I never really was interested in learning other people's songs, etc. But watching your videos make my piano parts in my music more full. It gives it that mmmmm good sort of feeling. Keep doing what you do because you do it well. First name Roger and my last name Cook. 4/22/2022

My pleasure!
bravissimo very good
Me quedé asombrado.
86 yes. 0 no. You're right, Tony. Hugs from Spain.
Thanks for the excellent instruction Tony! G7 to C-, I think of that G7#13 as a Db7 Tritone going to the C-, and use Db7 voicing, potato-pototo I guess
Is there any way you could make it so we can save these type vids in a playlist? I love your content because you break everything down the way I wish my teachers did. So keep up the scholarly work!
Thank's Tony ! As usual, very usefull, whenever the level !
I appreciate your pedagogy and your very special and friendly tone !
Which software do you use for displaying the notes during you play ?
Great stuff, will try this one, I love blue bossa. Check out the keyboard circle's rendition if you get the chance
Would september in the rain be an easy song to learn? Will you upload one on this standard?
Hi Tony, I enjoyed your video--one of my favorite tunes! What is the name of that app that displays the keyboard?
Chordie
I am going back through the playlists, don't say that ! can we talk about the borrowerd Chords the way I am looking at this as 2, 5, 1 , inside another 2, 5, 1, which is Db would that be wrong, or where would the Db come from since its obviously not from phyrig. lol this is what make music so hard. SO awesome to find your channel tho. I have been looking for a 2.,5, 1 IN minor please any other jazz standards that you know like this would be helpful as they are very hard to find.
C harmonic minor , with a mini 2.,5, 1 Db because of the Ebm (instead of Major) is that where that's coming from?
Check out "Dudley Moore + Dakota Staton 1971 (17.09) Their version of "Autumn Leaves" - Very cool
pretty good, check out Tommy Flanagan autumn leaves, nice!
@@TheRealSandleford Cool! thanks, I never heard of Tommy Flanagan before. good stuff.
@@gaugeonesteam one of my favorites, was first introduced from the incredible guitar of wes montgomery album. If you fancy some hard bop organ, Don Patterson plays some smokin blues!

@@TheRealSandleford "Dave Allen" theme by "Alan Hawkshaw" is a pretty good blues on a jazz organ.
Great lesson! Question: Why is it sometimes a 13 and other times a 6? Isn't that the same? Never understood this.
Really depends on the function of the chord. Usually a 13 is a tension on a dominant to give it more direction, while a 6 is a tonic chord that is more at rest.
If there is a 7th in the chord, the addition of a 6th is usually called the 13th
@@TonyWinston Thank you! Love all your videos! So helpful...
