This is funny and ironic. I was made fun of for wearing a racing jacket. Now suddenly I’m fashionable when I was called lame. I guess I was too ahead of my peers times back then.
Yep, I was harassed in school for wearing my Earnhardt embroidered denim jacket, especially after he passed. Won’t ever forget it.
this is so sick. been a nascar fan since i was a toddler, its my entire world. i would always wear shirts hats and jackets of my drivers because i loved them and i love nascar. id get teased when i was younger but now i wear them more than ever and get compliments. i understand a lot of people wear it for the aesthetic, and thats fine. whatever we can do to get this incredible sport in front of people and into the mainstream psyche. i wear nascar gear, jackets, shirts and hats because i love the sport and love the drivers. and maybe with it in vogue, we can get other people to love it too.
Okay to all the original fans who actually watch the sports (like me).., remember this is working to advance the sport forward for people who may not sit in the stands but they care about the legacy of it, I think that counts for something. Plus I like style too, it's cool the clothes trending like they are

I was never really a nascar fan but the jackets are clean af. Got me a few. I don’t really see people wearing them anymore. I remember it was a trend back when I was in high school. That was back in the mid 2000’s though😂

Ok, story time:
This past year at school I'm wearing one of my old JJ jackets and some girl comes up and says she likes it. And I thought that it was well known that I'm a big fan and car guy in general, and not in it for the fashion (because the oil/dirt stained wranglers and steel toe boots didn't give it away enough?) So my socially awkward self does my best to initiate a conversation about racing... Turns out she doesn't care about the sport itself, just likes it because it's fashionable... The Next day I wore a Quin Houff shirt (yes seriously, I have one) never heard of him. If you are going to start wearing these clothes, at least try to learn a bit about the drivers and series you are advertising... SMH man...

I dont like this much. I asked my friend who was wearing a rusty wallace shirt if they liked nascar, and they were like "What's nascar!?" And i just facepalmed.
I bet if i wear my michael mcdowell shirt to school no one will even know what it is, they'll just like ot because the clothes/merch made today is made to look vintage, which i dont like.
