Thanks for the great video and review ...today I'm wearing a REALLY old classic (in my opinion ) it's Ysl Paris! I still get compliments from this even though I'm not a huge fan of this as I used to be.
This was my exact experience with this fragrance. I wish the opening was the dry down.

Hello, Arlene! Thank you for your review. This fragrance was one of my first gourmand . I and my husband liked it very much. But then I found Chabaud L’ait concentre. It ‘s been our favourite milky fragrance for some years. But Montale turned out to be synthetic. I can’t say I don’t like it. But there are other delicious fragrances which are much better done .
I would love to know where to buy that.

I love Vanilla Cake
Did you know that the creator of montale was working for the Saudi royal family? He created scents for them and then created his own brand. I love the montale Paris roses musk is my go to perfume! It lasts for days…. These perfumes are made strong and to last. I am yet to try anything else where can I buy samples?
Just got this in the mail today. Performance is very weak on my skin unfortunately
I'm not a fan of montale vanilla cake i don't like the foodie cake part to be too synthetic and very sweet. I love sweet perfumes but this is sickly sweet. Great review though lol ;)
You’re breaking my heart Darlene. Intense Cafe not your cup of java I guess (he he he). I’ve been discovering Montale lately and I love intense Cafe and Dark Purple. They work well on my skin and I get no metallic tones at all. My main criticism is that most of them smell too similar in the dry down.
I just cannot get into Montale. I don't get a metallic note but they just smell very chemically, synthetic on my skin. There was only one I remembered actually liking and it only lasted maybe five minutes before it was gone. Every Montale I have tried so far has been a huge miss. Cool looking bottles though LOL
I've not had a chance to try this one yet but I will because I love Montale though I know they don't mesh with you and I'm sorry about that :)

I get a metallic smell in all Montales (that I have tried), I don’t like that, so I stopped trying Montale fragrances altogether.

I havent tried this fragrance, but i agree with your thoughts about this house. Montale does not work for me. The fragrances smell like a synthetic, bloody, hot mess.
Fragrances should be test on skin not paper, so with all due respect to those deriding montale perhaps try both before making such conclusions.
I hate this it reminds of those cheap cherry air fresheners that my mom used to get then it has this like chocolate nutty buddy undertone to me it stinks

Intense cafe is disgusting it's makes me want to throw up, they don't work on me either
Cedrat boise i hate with a passion, dont know why people like it so much it smells like rotten grapefruit mixed with skunk piss, its so overrated and just smells awful.
I have only smelled 1 Montale- Intense Cafe, and I hated it. I was so disappointed because from the notes and people’s descriptions I was convinced I would love it. Nooooooo
Now, I don’t even want to spend money on Montale samples.
Intense Cafe made me very nauseous. Ugghhhh. One of the worst I've ever tried tbh. I don't enjoy the house but I enjoy testing "challenging" perfumes. :D
