I'm a big fan of Intense Cafe so on a recent visit to London I went crazy at a concession that stocked Montale & Mancera. I too was slightly overwhelmed by the choice and also found a lot of the fragrances overlapped. I'm sure a better nose than mine could distinguish between the rose chocolates, the rose vanillas, the vanilla roses, the chocolate rose vanillas but I couldn't. So yes I love this house but heaven knows how I'll manage to choose my next purchase from them! Thanks for the video Sebastian, take care.

Aoud Musk is my fave Montale. Get lots of compliments on it. I also have Dark Purple, and Musk to Musk. Aoud Velvet is anothe one I like, but I only have a sample.

I wanted a chocolate fragrance and although you said you didn’t like, I saw other reviewers who love it, so I did a blind buy and I love it! Very chocolate cupcake.
Montale's selections are indeed overwhelming, so I haven't tried many from the house but I absolutely love, love, love INTENSE CAFE, and it was a MUST BUY for me once I sprayed it off a decant! The aluminum bottles scare the heck out of me at first though because they are so lightweight you think you are only receiving half of the Juice inside. I am definitely interested in getting my nose on those when they become available at decant houses. Thank you Sebastian.

i love Starry Nights, too! And have different others, White Musc, Chocolat Greedy, Patchouli Leaves, and Intense Tiaré (Tiare Blossom, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Vanilla, Coconut), perhaps similar to Orchid Powder? I don't think that orchids smell, perfumers take something different to make it smell like an impression of orchids. But we'll see. Love this video, so informative! Orchid Powder sounds so interesting.

Never tried any Montales yet and would love to own one. You are absolutely right that their selection is rather overwhelming. Fantastic Oud and Aqua Gold are the ones I'm most interested. Nice video Sabastian👍. I don’t own any Montale but very interested in Black Aoud and Intense Cafe. From this video I like to try Fantastic Oud. Since you mentioned chocolate note, you should try Rosendo Mateu - Lavender Spicy Chocolate. I acquire this one last year when visiting Madrid.
Great video Sebastian. Montale house is just amazing even if they are not super top niche. For me the number one is taken by Honey Aoud, incredible juice. Then of course intense cafe, full incense, blue amber and oudmazing. What are your thoughts on oudmazing?
Honey aoud hands down is the best in the line for sure.. its a masterpiece too me everytime i wear it i get mad compliments its my only fragrances i really get compliments.
Ah my beloved Montales. I remember smelling them more then a decade ago, didn't like them at all : too dry. My favorites are Intense Cafe and Lavender Aoud, I always wondered why the Lavender Aoud is not well liked

YES, Sebastian, we're on the same exact page re Intense Cafe, Chocolate Greedy and every other point on Montale; IC was a triumph, it's in my top five favorite rose variations, and I too was *so* disappointed with CG...I got Cocoa Pebbles cereal out of it, that inner-package lining thing with a really lousy rendition of cheap artificial chocolate, I couldn't believe anyone liked it, and worse, could't believe it was a Montale considering how much of the rest of their line I've tried (admittedly very minimal at this time) I like. But on that note...I rarely explore them beyond the half dozen I've tried. Simply because where the HELL do I start with about 1,000 to choose from?!? And I haven't even bothered with Mancera yet in part because of this. And it's a shame, because although CG was a big disappointment, I have nothing but positive things to say about the other half dozen I've tried. They're a cool house/brand, but are overwhelming us. It's awesome for us frag lovers in the audience to have the same tastes as the reviewers we watch; I have been able to count on 80% of your opinions to be the same as mine once I try what you've tried. Helps cut down the time and expense of the endless search hugely, so thanks for that. The time investment is part of the fun, but I have only so many years left to live, ya know? ;) (We're the same age) Cheers, love ya my friend.
Luckyscent has it. 50 ml for $120 & 100 ml for $170........OUCH!!!! But, I Love Gourmands. It's just that for $170, I would think that I could buy a MUCH Better Quality Men's Cologne, rather than what I suspect Vanilla Cake to be....A Sweet & Probably More Feminine Fragrance. But, I have to admit, the ingredients DO seem to be right up my alley in terms of a Good Gourmand Fragrance. I don't know if I trust Luckyscent's review, because they're selling Vanilla Cake. So, rather than doing a blind buy, I think I'll wait for more reviews before throwing down almost $200.
I have given up on Montale. The way they push them out, it's like a conveyer belt. You just don't know what to try out of the gazillion offerings they have. I have about 10 bottles from when the number of frags they had was manageable, but I stopped even going to their displays about 3 years ago. And let's be honest, most of their frags are brash and chemical.
Unfortunately, none of them seem too appealing to me, besides maybe Aqua gold, which just looks like another generic lavender sweetie. Vanilla cake looks way too sweet, and Orchid Powder way too floral. As for Fantastic Oud....I'm not sure, but anytime you have oud and rose, it doesn't sound too unique. Love the Aqua gold bottle though...
There's something about asking for a sub from people before they have even watched their 1st video of yours that's never sat right with me. Your channel your call, but it seems quite forward to ask for it before you've earned it. Don't get me wrong, you earn the sub with your content and giveaways, just ask after the video is over, like "if you enjoyed today's content and feel I've earned a subscription hit that sub button below" - in your own words of course. The latter is just a little classier imo. I get it subs are king and again your channel your call. Keep up the great work, always look forward to your content.

Vanilla Cake! Still haven't ever tried the brand but they've always captivated me with their minimalist aluminium bottles. 👌

It's a really rough vanilla I love it but it's not a wimps vanilla. It's not soft and delicate or anything like that LOL! Just a short preview! :)

I just wish they'd adopt a new bottle design. They look too much like Axe cans, and they're too lightweight for my taste
