- Spend 24(ish) hours with me! I am still working 3 jobs and the balance is tough some days, but I'm making it work and more importantly working to make time for the things that really matter. Your whole family is absurdly talented, but I feel like your special talent (beyond design and talking to yourself) is how you observe them and bring out their best, like a special lens to highlight each of them.
I found this channel via the viral video too and I originally had zero intentional interest in interior design beforehand. It turns out I actually did but just didn't realize it until you made it clear what it's really about (again, being a clarifying lens into something!) As a 30 something professional dude, I really appreciate that you're willing to share your processes and insecurities with us. It makes me feel less alone when I'm thinking the same way.

Ok, so it’s not just me. My family is very small and I’m already scared of the day my parents won’t be there anymore. I started to think about that a lot in my late 20s and especially during the pandemic 😥
I understand the fear of loved ones dying, I also live with anxiety about it, but my dad has always told me, you cannot live with fear in front of your face, but merely on your shoulder. Then it’s not blocking your view of all the goodness and blessings, but you are aware of it and respect that it will happen one day. Thought this might help you as well. I adore your videos and authenticity. I’m a graphic designer and love your approach to casually educating people on design. 💗

Your father playing the cello was so beautiful in so many ways, and it was very moving to me. My father was a musician, and I miss him lots. I'm happy seeing that you are all so close, and hang out all together. I'm a mom of 2 under 10, so it would be amazing to be still hanging out when they are both adults. Huge kudos to your parents for creating the family unit that sticks together! ❤️
Caroline, as someone who has spent my entire life as a student, I can tell you that balance is not only necessary for your health, but it’s the only way you’re going to manage this workload. When you stay up until 3am you’re not just losing a few hours of sleep. You’re missing out on complex chemical reactions that can only happen in your body at night that keep you healthy. It’s not just about getting sick, it’s about what it does to your body day to day that prevents you from working effectively. This is going to cause depression, anxiety, heart problems, drowsiness, irritability, maybe even pain. Something I know about myself is that I can do a lot more in a day when I’m prioritizing my health than I can when I’m trying to fill every second with work. I also happen to have developed fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder from working myself in the way that you are, and that may be the reason why I experience that. I do implore you to give it a try and see how much more productive, happy and healthy you feel after creating strict rules around when you work and when you rest. You DESERVE to rest Caroline. Keep your cup full. Your worth is not defined by your productivity, but your productivity is defined by your capacity. Please take care 💕

That ending really got me. I was literally in tears on a treadmill watching this video! I’m the babe of 5 and no one really prepares you for when parents make that turn... the turn when strength and health are no longer their allies. My dad is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and it’s been hard. Thank you for bringing such weirdness and honesty into my world. Your are a bright light in this commercialized place we call UA-cam.

Same! I’ve been watching her vids ever since. Her, Paige Wassel, and Arvin Arlano are my top 3 non-cringe, realistic interior/lifestyle channels. They’re not trying to sell me on a “don’t you want my life” lifestyle. Even in Arvin’s highly stylized home and his trips to Paris, he’s not trying to rub our faces in it. Sometimes I find other interior/lifestyle channels are low-key trying to sell people on some sort of “that girl” vapid “aesthetic” lifestyle and I’m like, I have no time for that. I got bills to pay lol. I just wanna see your home and hear your thoughts.

Keep up your pre surgery exercises, it really helps once you have your surgery and do PT. Just had my third total knee, oh I'm 71, and I flew through PT because I knew what to expect, yes I did pre exercise, and I went in with the attitude that I would succeed, and yeah its painful but oh so worth it!!
Keep up the great vlog, blogs,videos etc. I watch every one no matter the subject, I've learned something everytime. It might be what you say, or I notice how you decorated your table or mantle. A teachable moment.

I just discovered your channel yesterday and the first video I watched was the one about how you’re doing your house wrong, the one you needed 30k views and got like over 150k views!! I can’t imagine how happy that must make you feel. I feel like you’re a long lost friend with your blunt but sensible honesty and in less than 12 hours you’ve become my new #1 UA-camr who I want to see videos from. What little I know about you, I love. And I feel like I know you more than I do. Your sense of humor is something I totally appreciate, as well as your video content. I think I watched like 5 of them last night. And this is totally superficial, but I LOVE your bangs. I noticed you didn’t have them in some of your older videos but they totally work for you. I have long, thick hair too and you have me wanting bangs now!! See, you’re an inspiration in ways you’re not even trying to be. I took many screenshots of you so I can show my bff who is also my hairdresser and I think I’m gonna pull the trigger and cut me some bangs! It’s hair, it’ll grow back. I find only about 10% or so of the viewers like the videos and I wish that would change. Some people are just too lazy to push that Like button and I think it’s just weird! I was a social worker so when I got home I continued to process which meant I really didn't shut down until I went to sleep. I finally retired and then Covid hit so talk about learning to be retired was something I had never thought of!! Very interesting family...all very talented people!
