I still have my Batmobile and Spider-Man motorcycle.
I also have the Starsky & Hutch car, James Bond Aston Martin with passenger ejection seat (I still have the little bad guy that sits in the ejection seat), Kojak's car and the Buck Rogers starfighter.
Nice collection!
there's a very nice ad that ran in DC and Marvel comics for those in the 1970s. The Spider-Car was slick.
I had the Spidercopter and the Superman space car with fists. Todd McFarlane of McFarlane Toys liked the Superman fist-car so much that when he got the DC license, making one in action figure size was one of the first things he did.
That's called the Supermobile. The interesting thing about the Sider-coper is that the rotor blades are the shape of a siderweb.
The Marvel Hot Wheels cars were also very memorable.
When Hot Wheels came out with the Adam West Batmobile I HAD to have that. 🦇
Mego's CAPTAIN AMERICAR does have a shield on it, while the JOKERMOBILE is actually an ambulance and note that the SHAZAM! and CAPTAIN AMERICA cars are the same car.
Had some Corgi cars, mostly Brit cars like Minis, Jaguars. The more interesting ones were Batmobile for sure and yes the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang vehicle. They should have made the child cage wagon, that f--ker creeps me out to this day lol like the super heroe cars, I would have been all over these.
I had an Incredible Hulk van. The back of the van had a peep hole where you looked in and saw the Hulk. Easy Junk Man, The Hulk was wearing his purple pants. Wasn't that kind of peep hole.
😂😂😂
@@michaelrussom6463 I have that same van. I also have a Captain America RV-like vehicle with the peep hole. These may have been made Hot Wheels though. They are packed away in my attic so I can;t check easily.
Sure is a strange name for a toy company, by that name, you’d think they’d sell dog food and stuff for dogs. But the cars are pretty cool, don’t have this particular brand, but I do have this large unopened set of Marvel branded cars I had since I was a kid, I think it’s Matchbox or something else, can’t really remember the name, but kept the set unopened due to the artwork on the back.
Dude! I had that Batmobile with the Bat Boat. Thanks for the memory!
Oh yeah I had these they were Awesome! I don't know if I'm remembering correctly but on the vans and the Joker car couldn't you look through the back and see a picture?
I think your thinking of the ones by Hotwheels.
@@richardlaceyfield9 thank you sir it had to be hot wheels Junkman is fucking with me again with his knock off brands 🤣
No need to thank me I just had a bunch growing up and then unfortunately they were sold at a garage sale.
These were just before my time but I have the batmobile. The batman ones are the only ones that made sense since Bruce Wayne had the budget. Peter Parker could never even afford a copy of the paper that printed his pictures. The Daily Planet Truck should have been called the Spoiler Alert since it basically revealed who Super Man was.
Dig the Hank Williams Junior Junior reference!!
Glad someone got it :)
I used to have that penguin car when I was little
I had a few of the james bond line & the original batmobile (all in larger scale) the bond ones were cool as they included the hidden features seen in the films.
I especially remember the white Lotus that turned into a submarine. I broke one that in the bath whilst reliving the underwater scenes. The side fins became fixed and wouldn't push back into the body work.
I like the Marvel/DC multi-pack and I'd definitely go for the the Batman 3 pack. 🦇
I've been wanting about the Corgi Batcopter in the little box. 🦇
I think they should do more with the little figures on the bikes and in the vehicles.
Thanks for the video
The Corgi Batmobile deserves its own video.
Back in the day I had a couple cars,I think by corgi the bat mobile and James Bond car. I think early 70s. And they did tons of stuff!spikes came out of the hubs, changing license plates, launching rockets,a rope cutting blade that popped out of the front, and ejector seats!those were classic!!!
I still have Starsky and Hutch, Batmobile and Batcopter, Kojak, Spider-Copter, and Spy Who Loved Me that came in a plastic case.
For me personally,It was Corgi Batmobile and TV, Film, Comic and Cartoon related products that I first got the collecting bug even before the Star Wars trend came in to our households,That's how it was I suppose.
Corgi had quite a few licenses.DC ,Marvel , James Bond ,Dempsey and Makepeace ,Chopper Squad and a lot I can't remember. Different sizes as well . I was very suprised when they shut down.
Also have a complete run of these. There is also a batcycle
I had many great memories of these cars .
Junkman I forgot about these. I had a couple of them too I had the Captain America car and the Batcopter and the spider copter. My sister even collected these,I know for the most part sisters aren't cool but my sister was she liked girls toys but she also loved Star Wars figures and comic books and boy cartoons.
If you're a villain, it's not a good idea to drive down the street with your name on the side.
I didn't think that needed to be said. If you can't figure that out, criminal masterminding might not work out for you.
Well, if it's the Joker, he's probably not in it, and it's probably a trap.
I wish I still had that spider man helicopter with the legs and the web for a propeller.
The company was based in Swansea in wales and took the name corgi because its a welsh dog breed......i think at one time they were taken over by Mattel in 80s
I had the Batmobile Batboat Bat Copter and the Spider-Man Copter. I may have had a couple others too but I don't remember for sure. 👍👍👍
Had the Batmobile and Batboat with the trailer. They also made a Supermobile (his flying car with the fists).
It was the metropolis police car junkman in the superman movie which came out in 1978
I feel like I had the JOKER one, I'm sure it raced the General Lee and the Smokey & the Bandit Trans Am often
Confession time. As a kid, I had the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang by Corgi!
FYI, the novel "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car" was written by Ian Fleming (The same guy who wrote the James Bond books), so it's cool if you ask me.
They also had a Bat Man Motorcycle with Batman on it.
Hotwheels now make MANY licensed cars today From Disney to Superhero and Star Trek to Star Wars. Captain Americas is a Mustang Winnie the Pooh has a honey Cement Mixer
I had a couple of these, but I mostly had hot wheels. I had the batmobile and hot wheels spider man car. I also had the Corgi 007 Lotus Esprit with fins that pop out. It was pretty awesome. Not sure what happened to most of my cars, maybe I sold them. That impression you did of Margot Kidder as Lois was spot on 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Hilarious Junkman!
That police car was neat.
Batmobile and bat boat Cause some times Batman and Robin just want to kick back have a few beers and go fishing. The other, other, bat pole.
at 250 i think we had the tiny batmobile car, but i don't remember those other vehicles
i remember having a little toy truck? with a see through window and if you looked through it you could see the incredible hulk
I have most of these including the carrying case, which I thought came with cars. The tri-cycl Hulk as ne to me as was the Wonder Woman car. Hot Wheels, I believe also made a Spider-man around this time. It was ort of fantasy race.s[prts car like, colored black, with white web paint, two red bubble domes where the driver and passenger would be and Spider-man painted in red it. There is also a The Thing car.
at 630 that helicopter is cool looking i don't think i ever saw it
Cool! I still have a corgi Popeye boat
I had the Marvel/DC 5 pack.
Spiderman in the dessert would be like Aquaman in the dessert useless powers. Nothing for him to swing from.
Don't know what a heli-COCK-ter is but I know I don't want to ride one
Forgot the Supermobile
4:30 FYI, those are called gull-wing doors.
They make die cast tanks too
the superman helicopter and news delivery truck are from the daily planet, but they are too small, if you have a 3.75 inch tall superman figure, he would need an appropriate toy helicopter to save from crashing, were there 3.75 dc comics figures or not until the super powers line in the 1980s?
So Superman drives around in a truck that has a picture of Clark Kent changing into Superman on it?! Way to protect your secret identity, Clark.
Where's the Thanos-Copter? That's actually in one of the comics!
I have that Corgi Batmobile! Someone gave it to me a few years ago. I think they found it on the side of the road or something, as it's slightly damaged, but not too much.
I guess Superman needed a way to fly when he's Clark Kent
at 59 sec, is there a tiny penguin villain person figure in the drivers seat?
Yes
We need a version of Superman I and II where Junkman dubs his impression of Margot Kidder's Lois Lane
Yes we do
I loved these cars as a kid. I still have some of them. Sorry JM but that was the worst Margot Kidder/Lois Lane impression I've ever heard. :)
LOL i actually had that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
FYI, the novel "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang: The Magical Car" was written by Ian Fleming (The same guy who wrote the James Bond books), so it's cool if you ask me.
A bit before my time but the packaging is awesome
@That Junkman "The Daily Planet"! And that was a (Metropolis Police department) squad car.
Shazam has always been portrayed as white?🙃 (Oswald Cobblepot) doesn't think that he's a Penguin. He is called "The Penguin" because of the way he dresses. Corgi was licensed with both DC and Marvel. That's how they were able to use the names and likeness of the characters from both companies.
I think he was confusing the Captain Marvel characters (Shazam was originally called Captain Marvel, but the comic was called Shazam due to a copyright agreement between DC & Marvel)
@@XianHu It's a long and complicated story that can be traced back to the year 1939. To a company called ''Fawcett Publications''. At that time (Marvel comics) was known as (Timely Comics). Fawcett set out to create a ''Superman-esque'' character named “Captain Marvel”. Who first appeared in ''Whiz Comics'' #2 (February 1940). His name was (shortened from ''Captain Marvelous''. After they were unable to secure the rights to the name they originally wanted to use “Captain Thunder”. In 1953 the company stopped selling the comics after DC.Comics, sued Fawcett for copyright infringement. Suggesting the character (Captain Marvel) was a blatant rip off of ''Superman''. (Mainly due to his appearance, abilities and alter-ego ''Billy Batson''). Who also worked in journalism. After a lengthy legal process, Fawcett eventually paid DC comics a settlement. And agreed that they would discontinue the stories. In the mid-1960s. DC comics decided that they would license (Captain Marvel and his “Marvel family” of sidekicks). Adding them to their own stable of heroes. And eventually acquiring the characters outright. Unbeknownst to DC comics at that time...In 1972 Marvel Comics (now existing under its familiar name). Had already acquired the rights to not the Fawcett character "Captain Marvel”, but the name. Marvel had also created and copyrighted its own original character named ''Captain Marvel''. An alien warrior named ''Mar-Vell'' who made his debut in ''Marvel Super-Heroes'' #12 (December 1967). And fought alongside the heroes of Earth using his (Kree abilities and powerful Nega-band technology). DC had no other choice but to keep the character but to retitle the ongoing comic book “Shazam!,”. The magic word said by young Billy Batson to transform into his Superhero alter ego and back again. So, even though the character was still called ''Captain Marvel''? Any comics and merchandise related to him were just branded with the (Shazam!) name and logo. And DC comics had enough leeway to keep using the character.
@@jeffreycoogan09 Yup, but I was referring to Junkman's comment about Shazam (as he is now known) and didn't want to confuse everyone with the details.
Very thorough, though; nicely put.
@@XianHu Thanks!
Welcome to the channel
At least That Junkman didn't confuse the toy company Corgi with the character Corky, from Life Goes On.
