Plus, I'm expecting residential and office space in the next few years, as well as an aquarium, so it serves many purposes and is less susceptible to dying. I'm more worried about sucking shoppers out of Downtown than anything
This is only phase 1. Other phases will develop residential properties on that site. The Wawanesa building also will be developed into a residential tower.

I dislike this type of development, it incentivises urban sprawl. We already have so many dying malls in Montreal.
