V056 is a number indicating that this is a variant prototype aircraft - intended to test out an equipment fit. (ie a One-off) This is the 56th prototype of the Me 262, V-01 was the original First prototype aircraft, with a tail wheel, no jet engines and a Junkers Jumo engine and a propeller in the nose. Later early prototypes tested the jet engines (including the piston engine and prop in one case) and nose wheel. Another tested a different make of jet engines - BMW made, as opposed to the Junkers 004 which powered most 262's.
The result with the ME 262 is very impressive. Very nice details. A great model of the night fighter version, Rick. Best wishes, Joachim PS: I've sent you an email. Did you get it? Otherwise I'll try again.
I'm glad you've time for the GB. When you've found a suitable kit which you wants to build, please send me a picture of the package cover. Best wishes, Joachim
