I found ur video awhile back was so angry I had not shared so glad i came back across it.. me and my husband have been looking for different ways and different ideas to trap hogs and it not cost us a arm and leg and also building it.. so long story short ur video has saved us $ and was simple but also works when trapping. It has also helped us trap my domestic momma pig when my kiddos accidentally latched her gate incorrectly after feeding.. so just wanted to thank you for sharing this video God bless..
@lionsmgr you've got the material list right, it's round, your just connecting all the panels together and making a 6 or 9 shape with the panels, T post every 4 feet, the trap is around 12-15 feet across, the door can be made with steel plumbing pipe, elbows, heavy duty door hinges and a piece of panel for the middle. another option is instead of making a door, you put another panel in it's place and make a trigger to hold it back with tension, then when a pig hits the trigger, it slams the....
Sweet. Anybody got a link to a step by step and equipment list for this or one similar? Just bought a piece of land in the woods and I'm ready to get some.
panel into the side of the trap, block their way out, but it gets better, after the trap is triggered, more pigs can get in by just pushing the panel out of the way and it closing behind them, very simple and no need for a complicated door.
Great Trap! Do you have a material list...? It looks like 12 T-Posts 11 4' cattle panels etc... Also, is it round or rectangle? Size? Any info would be great as I wanna put your plans to work here in Georgia...
Cook them if you like. Also, many people will buy them. I make quite a bit from people who love to eat wild hogs but don't hunt or trap themselves. It wasn't my intention to sell hogs, but.......
instead of the door and spring, just add another solid panel, the springiness of the panel will act like the door without any welding, bolting, nothing. for a trigger close door, just tie the trigger line to the door panel and hold the panel back with the trigger, once a pig hits the trigger, the door panel will slam shut and allow any other pigs in by simply squeezing between the panels.
that little guy has his eye on you, he'd tear you to shreds if he had the chance lol another option for the door is just another panel in place of the door, held back by a trigger, when the pig triggers the trap, it slams the tensioned panel closed, but since the panel is springy, more pigs can come in after the door has closed.
This is really good however I have a friend that was given two wild boar babies. I was told they burrow how could he make a safe pen/living area so they can't get out?
Donna Turner you better not let your friend get anymore wild hogs alive because thats 5 years in prison and lose of hunting and fishing rigjts i know its my job to enforce it

Smart!
That's cool
Would this work with a lost Sheltie? This dog has been missing for 8 months, seen every other day, but no one has been able to catch this dog
any idea if this would work for a coyotes?
Good. Job
I going to start trapping on property but not sure what to do with all the hogs when caught what would be your advise? Thanks

If you can make the trap door 2x wider, I think you can trap more hogs.

@maskedmillionaire no, coyotes aren't the pushing type, they wouldn't enter this trap and if they did get caught, they'd find a way out.
Ya ya ya
That's beautiful. What sort of spring is ideal please
Screen door spring.
...
Ok. Now how you gonna get em outta the trap?

Mankind created the Thermonuclear Weapon, the rainforest is being razed too the ground...soon there will be nothing left...to destroy.
You have no clue about the problems that wild pigs are causing, do you?
