In Coyle's dialogue, he views the lightning in the plains as the "finger of God". His obsession with electricity likely stems from that belief and his own God complex. When he wields his electric weapon, he's literally become a hand of God and directing the finger to suit his sense of justice.
I thought Eddie Gluskin was the scariest human monster in this game. But Coyle? He takes the cake. This dirty cop was twisted before Murkoff even found him.
To be honest coyle seem to represent the very worse of police officers, he willing to take bibes, has this belief he is the law, takes enjoyment in his work and was really only accepted into the force since he was very much the same if not worse then most of the officers. It quite clear coyle has some kind of obsession with domination, which probably explain why he fit so well in his previous trade, do he does seem likely to talk in convisation only downside he see everyone gulity and is smart enough to see a lie.
I'm hoping that in the future we will get more background information on a lot of characters. Hopefully, in season 2, we can get introduced to Whitehorn.
What we do know about him is he has a weird vendetta against a hillbilly congressman named Wallace and by the look of his character model he looks like some sort of hunter.
Honestly I fucking dig his design so much. Don't know why but I can see him being an Operative in Black Ops Cold War. Maybe because of the similar time setting?
To me outlast has some of the most fascinating back stories. It's like they're not just scary monsters but takes the actual psyche behind the human being. Like Eddie was abused and so was general coyle.
Nice to learn the story behind this character. While I'm an "Outlast" fan and have been playing the first game on repeat since its release in 2013, I skipped "The Outlast Trials" after seeing this character in pre-release gameplay. He comes at a bad time. There's been too much demonization of cops in recent years, and they put one in a game as a psychotic villain singing "The Star Spangled Banner", saying things like "You were born guilty.", etc. Nah. I had to keep my money in my pocket on that.
Coyle: *breathes* Me: So you have chosen the brick? He's a fun character! The amount of times I randomly yell "We got laws here!" is getting ridiculous
0:45 what do you mean by SA here? I looked it up, and the 2 most likely possibilities are sexual abuse and substance addiction. I feel like the former is more likely, but im not sure
They get inspiration from the Bob Morane universe for that character he looks like the Kops from the post apocalyptic New York story called 'Les bulles de l'Ombre jaune'
"He might be aroused by electricity"
The guy literally zaps his junk in one hallucination so I would say that's a strong yes.
I thought I even saw him do it in the monitor screen once
@@ZenMonkeyGod He also scratches himself like he's a baseball coach. I think he might have a fabric allergy.

Like zeus?
The problem is that because of the open ended nature of the game we will likely not see him die
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566Maybe not directly, but we may get some sort of closure to him in the form of a new document or other future content.
@@Scabloonshki hmm true
He has a obsession with electricity? I thought he just saw it as beating stick and nothing else

Richard Trager?
Chris Walker is better than all characters!!!❤
Idk man i thought Eddie was VERY disturbing.
@harrygibson905 in your opinion my dude like chris but i liked the others waaaay more
pretty sure gluskin was hella twisted before he gets to the asylum too but yeah coyle somewhat scares me more
Its kind of funny because the guy named Coyle likes electricity. (Coil = Coyle. Coils generate electricity, Coyle has a battery on his back)
When i first started the game i did indeed thought that his name is Coil lol
Blackwell Oklahoma was where he was born, it is also a famous "Sun-Down" town of the 1900's and has an attraction dedicated to electricity.
“If you ain’t guilty then why you running!!” My favorite voice line
We got fuckin laws around here!
I think Leland might be my favorite design in this game. From his supercharged stun baton to his electric scaring he’s definitely a awesome design
Both him and that bambino feller with the shotgun

He gives me richard trager vibes that insane doctor from outlast 1. Both of them talk about money and the lord.
Probably my favourite character love his personality and southern accent.
The ''Lightning storm" is JUSTICE as Leland said inside his own prison.
I'm hoping that in the future we will get more background information on a lot of characters. Hopefully, in season 2, we can get introduced to Whitehorn.
Agreed! Was sad not getting anything with Whitehorn in the current trials...
I hope for some new Ex pop characters 😅

wait do u know when season 2 will be released?
@@saltstream8277 Nope. I'm sure Red Barrels will announce it later down the line. We're technically still in early access and not the full release.
I really hope you do one of these on Mother Gooseberry, imo one of my favorite horror characers of all time
You’re in luck as Mother Gooseberry is our next planned video!
The doctor from dead by daylights new cosmetic
Is it just me or is this man hilarious

Bro literally electrocutes his p wdym "might be aroused"?
Coyle is literally just the average American cop.
I want him so bad
You do realise that Sgt. Coyle looks down upon people of your pigmentation?
He was in the KKK.
Ah coil coyle, funny pun
I really like that crazy character! And I learn some more of him in his sound files on youtube😊
Get this man more subs!
Coyle: Lawful Evil
Trager: Neutral Evil
Gluskin: Chaotic Evil
Wanna know what I think about Leland Coyle? I think he’s Eddie Gluskin’s father. I’ll be more than happy to explain why I think this.
I'm curious why
Do tell
Tell us
Oh why do you think that?
There no rumor that Leland coyle is Eddie Gluskin father. since all of his wife is dead.
PLEASE someone explain to me how you extract the character model as shown at 0:10
The clothes and head models for Leland, likely was taken while still in development
"An apparent self dead"
We got fuckin LAWS around here!!
Thank you for sharing! I learning lots thank to you! Awesome video!🤩
I guess coyle has a shocking personality.
(Not Jennifer. I’m Chance.) What Police Cars are those at 4:07?
Being from Oklahoma myself, it doesn’t surprise me that he was on a corrupt police force
love these videos

The first one, correct.
@@GreenLinksYT ah, thanks
Will you please, please, please do a Bambino breakdown?🙏🏻
I wonder how he was captured and actually brought to the Facility. Was he drugged snd brought by Murkoff or did he willingly do this own his own?
Does anyone know his voice actor I want to see if he was in anything else
It's Julian Bailey. He also voiced Staci Pratt from Far Cry 5.
Us Lelands are born different (i know my name is different but its said the same way)
Queria uma legenda em português 😔
I want him.
I want him
I want him 🥺
Daddy?
❤❤❤❤❤
Hear me out 😏
