Having looked at you 5 site reviews (always useful) I am surprised you didn't use the ASCI discount option to track down options. You would have saved the cost and more over the course of your trip and have access to info and reviews on thousands of sites in France (and elsewhere). Love Ile de Ré as well and plenty site options there. Access is of course tolled (€16 per visit on to and off the island).

Hi Dermot over the years we have used the ASCI card but its of no use in July when we mostly go to France, We just happened to go early this year. We also use an app Camping Car-park. thanks for watching

    Hi Aaron.
Did you just arrive here without booking.?
Or had pre arranged a booking
I’m checking this place out maybe for 2025
    Thanks again.

When you see so many pitches vacant in June you can be sure you can just turn up without a booking. July and August (school holidays) will usually be different so best to book or at least ring before heading to campsite.

Hi John during June to late August you would need to book wayyyyy in advance. From Sept some sites you could just roll up to. BUT I always try book the sites we go to a week in advance off season
