    Hello Joe. I hope you get to feeling better really soon. Having a cold is no fun and you need to spoil yourself a bit (I know playing with 3D Printers is fun) but you also need to relax and save your voice.
    Thanks for all the videos and insights you provide. Your one fantastic dude!
    Happy holidays to you and all your family.

    Hi Joe...I'm battling the cold bug here too....you've been way more productive than me! I currently have my Geeetech A10 apart, trying to solve it's many woes. This one shouldn't have made it past QA

    I saw a video the other day that said if you use slic3rPE and click load config and then select a g-code it loads all the setting the file was sliced with. Not sure if this works with g-codes created with a different slicer but definitely works for slic3rPE generate g-code a handy tip if you want to see the settings a file was sliced with.

    Hi. A colleague of mine had a great idea, and since you are an influential person in the 3D world, I would like to pass this idea on to you:
    When you print in more than one color, a block is generated for the color transition. He said: Why a block? why not another impression or piece, something that later the person paints and has no problem of getting mixed colors. At least it does not lose so much filament.

    • @3DMakerNoob
      @3DMakerNoob  5 років тому

      It’s already done that way if you choose to, but there are limitations as you still need a small block for the initial colour change and then you use the secondary object as the transition model

    I had the same problem with the layer shift on the Geeetech a10M. My solution was to use a pair of side cutters and cut the corner of the purge block after the first purge while it is printing. A hack but it worked.

    Hey Joe, CHEP (Chuck) did a video about retrieving settings from a presliced print (Cat?) off an Ender 3 using S3D, I think. It's worth a watch cause that's what it sounds like you're trying to do. Hope you feel better. Merry Christmas!!

      @@3DMakerNoob You can do the same thing in Slic3r. File - Load Config - then select the G code file.

    In S3D go to Import FFF (whatever their slicer profile files are called?) file and choose the GCODE from the A20M. It loads the slicer profile instead of the actual gcode

    I have been driving myself crazy with this. I've got an A20m that I'm trying to print a few dual-color signs on. My slicer is CURA 4.6.1 I can get the base to print in 1 color in .4 mm but I want the letters & #'s to be raised and printed in a .15 mm with the 2nd extruder. I have not been successful in saving the base plate print at the .4mm layer with the 1st extruder and .15mm with the 2nd extruder. It wants to only print in the entire sign in the 1st setting of .4mm even though I'm setting the plate separate from the letters & numbers before I merge the 2 together. Any ideas on how to set 1 extruder to print in a separate layer then the 2nd?

    Hi. I bought that printer. I leveled it and my first print was not right. I've found out that the bed bad was not straight. It's wavy. It has 2 hollows on a side, from one corner to the other. What should I do other than buying a 3d Touch ?

    I have this printer with the same problems I've spent many hour working with it and I have labeled it as JUNK and it now set in the corner never to be used again

    • @CoffeeTech101
      @CoffeeTech101 5 років тому +2

      Bob i'm not trying to be a jerk here but part of the package in 3d printing is dealing with the various nuances of the printer.
      You not willing to spend time tweaking isn't the printers fault nor should it be labeled as junk because you find it of inconvenience to properly tweak the printer.
      Being that this printer can mix and print in dual color increases the difficulty of use exponentially.
      If you wanted something ease of you get an ender 3. I assure you your still going to have to adjust, mod, and tweak that as well.

      Bob you are welcome to send the printer to me, that is for my daughter to work on it and i can help her get it to work, Myself and her will be very grateful and that way the printer wont be catching dust as junk sitting in the corner.

    Hello thank you for this video, I actually purchased the A20m. I am having the worse experience with the printer but working through it. My dog prints fine but cant get adhesion at times and etc... comes with the territory. I was wondering if you were able to get the gcode and make your own config?
    Also, I didnt receive the lizard on my SD, is there anyway you could send me the file from the SD or point me to the g-code file?
    Thanks again for the videos.

    Do you really consider yourself a „maker“ ? have you even made your own designs to print yet? I do not think just printing random designs from thingiverse qualifies you as a „maker“.

      @@3DMakerNoob Sorry but quantity does not guarantee quality. Funny, 3DPN also mentioned that he made 600 Videos when i asked him the same thing. I just checked all your videos and did not find a single one where you designed and developed your own thing, that did not stem from either thingiverse or myminifactory. Printing things that you find online is just like buying on amazon with extra steps. Don´t take it as criticism- take it as a nudge what you could do in the future. You see me here because your video´s are not bad per se- they just lack a little creativity. Take some inspiration from Thomas Sanladerer, Devin from Make Anything , Maker´s Muse or Tom Stanton. They always have very original projects- People i would consider true "makers".

      faxxzc kkkkk... funny you saying it without check their videos. He made some awesome and creative stuffs. And I desagree that you is only a maker if you design stuffs (and I’m a designer by the way)... you can be a maker planting a tree, playing with lego and also cooking 😁

      Smashup box, kitchen inspection panel, TPU door handle protectors, alfawise u20 extruder addon, Just to name a few. The fact that you also said the same thing to Joel even though we all know he designed things himself simply means you either don’t watch the videos, have a short attention span and can relate to gold fish ;)
