Good review, it is surprisingly thin for a 200m WR watch with an nh34. With much less text on the dial and without the cyclops I might have been tempted.
Nicer review. Nice watch. That's one of the better 1655 homages I've seen. Maybe the best? Steinhart makes one, but it's more expensive and doesn't usually have the cyclops. There's a special Olko one that does, but they're hard to come by. Steinhart also changes the profile of the oyster style cases in a way that's not to my liking. I've always liked the look of the 1655. I think I'll have to seriously consider this Hruodland.
That’s a beauty. I think I do prefer this over the Seestern. Although the Seestern does have an on the fly clasp. You’re right on the text. A little too much. Great review as always.
Great watch! Unfortunately, the branding and the writing on the dial is a deal breaker for me. It's a shame, really. Maybe the best hommage of the explorer 2 on AE. Thanks for the review mate.
Texts are weird but I'm glad they put them there. Nobody reads that anyway so it's just a matter of filling up the negative space in order to make it look overall harmonious to the rest of the design, assuming that Rolex executed it perfectly. I like it!
It looks mostly really well executed. The text lets it down for me. San Martin does fine if these. But if I was in the market for an affordable DMT right now.... I really like San Martin's new original design GMT. Thanks for the review.
@@karlsenula9495 Less text is always my preference too. Also a logo over brand name as well. But I can deal with it though, as it's still a good looking watch I think.
Excellent review. More in keeping with the Rolex as you say but the star is that top-hat crystal. Really makes this piece. Lovely and slim. I would have this along with the Seestern :)
You really need to stop showing off so many nice timepieces! 😂 You show so many that I want. This one is no different. Such a nice looking watch. You're ridiculous 😅 Keep up the great work! Cheers!
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I got the sugess recently and its awesome. I think the cyclops finishes this one perfectly and looks more premium than the Seestern. I probably will get it so its in my basket 😁
From what I've been told, it's not actually a made up name. It comes from this. www.name-doctor.com/meaning/hrodland Chinese brands are always trying to appeal to more western tastes and so tend to use names that are related to, or referencing that.

Thanks. Yeah it is quite thin I suppose. They do have a sterile dial option.

Cheers. Yes it is a very good homage. They absolutely nailed the look didn't they?
That’s a beauty. I think I do prefer this over the Seestern. Although the Seestern does have an on the fly clasp. You’re right on the text. A little too much. Great review as always.
It's a more faithful homage isn't it?They do offer a sterile dial version as well though.
Cheers mate. I'm glad you liked it.
Very nice, I finally went for the Seestern version at almost half price.
Great watch! Unfortunately, the branding and the writing on the dial is a deal breaker for me.
It's a shame, really. Maybe the best hommage of the explorer 2 on AE.
Thanks for the review mate.
They do have a sterile dial option too, if that helps. Thanks for watching.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR yup, but I don't like sterile dials either 😅.
But it's better to have the choice for sure.

That's true, you don't really read it when it's on your wrist.
Great review, James.
Are you happy woth the faux aged lume on the indices, or would you have preferred white instead?
Cheers. I actually don't mind the fauxtina on this one. I think it suits the watch.
Very nice, except for the excessive text and the Cyclops. And yes, a few other people have already said this.
Very good review as always. Cheers 🍻!
I guess that's what they had to do to keep it as faithful to the original as possible though.
Great review. For those of us with that dislike the text, they do have a no logo version.
Thanks. Yeah it's nice that they offer that option.
Nice watch! That's how a cyclops should be aligned. Despite the NH34 the watch looks quite slim, probably due to the way they designed the mid case.
Yeah it is quite slim for an NH34 powered watch.
It looks mostly really well executed. The text lets it down for me. San Martin does fine if these. But if I was in the market for an affordable DMT right now.... I really like San Martin's new original design GMT. Thanks for the review.
Yeah the text is the only real issue I have with it. Thanks.
Great review, IMO the best 1655 homage out there, steinhart included. Surprisingly thin, I've been loving mine.
Cheers mate. They did nail the look. It's the most faithful homage for sure.
Wow , better then a Steinhart !
I might have to get one , wear my Steiny everyday
Great review! Not a fan of the dial text, but I love the case profile. It makes my Baltany Retro Diver case look like it needs to go on a diet.
Thanks. Yeah that's the only real issue I have with it too... But at least they offer a sterile dial option.
The text on the dial really kills this for me ... the name i get ... Wish they had kust gone with the Hrouland anchor, GMT and WR.

Cheers mate. Yeah the top hat crystal is very nice.
How is this versus the seestern
As I mentioned in the review, I don't actually have the Seestern. But I do talk about some of the differences between the two.
You really need to stop showing off so many nice timepieces! 😂 You show so many that I want. This one is no different. Such a nice looking watch. You're ridiculous 😅 Keep up the great work!

😆 Sorry. How many do you have in your basket at the moment then? 😉
Are these watches really wr to 200m?
the watch with the fixed bezel
Yes it is.
Looks solid. I still think my Incipio made in Japan is a more faithful homage. It’s kinda pricey but it’s powered by a Swiss ETA.
I do love a “Steve McQueen” Explorer 2.
Who doesn't?
I like how they offer these with a sterile dial
It is nice that they give you the option.
Nice watch if you like the explorer at an affordable price, lume is awesome
It's closer to the original than the Seestern isn't it?
That's a beauty. Nice
I think so too.
It's very well made.
@@500fxbr5 Some might argue that's a positive.
I think thats the best homage going
Are you thinking about getting one then?

The brand name used here is bordering on the bizarre. Why do the Chinese come up with these ludicrous names?

Steinhart 🤣🤣
Steve McQueen never even wore this did he
Not this Hruodland, but the Rolex 1655 it's based on.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR only Rolex I ever saw him wear was a 5512 Sub on right wrist
Shame about the long and not particularly nice name on the dial, Just have a H, I think
Or they could even just use the logo that they have on the crown.
They do offer a sterile dial option too.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR yes I just used the link and checked it out, the sterile dial looks wrong, the crown logo would be excellent 👍🏽
