Considering you get a Seiko movement, a sapphire crystal, a milled clasp, and solid stainless steel everywhere else, it kinda brings the practicality of buying a real Seiko into question. By all right, this is a better watch than a real SKX for less money.
This is absolutely a high-end version of Seiko 5 sports GMT but with less than half price, that's why I won't buy Seiko 5 sports. Obviously 70% of the price is paying for the brand name only.😂🤣🤣
I’m usually not for Homaging less expensive watches but the AliExpress price is $88. Wow. That’s a damn good price for what you’re getting. Thanks for showing us the watch. I will have to pay attention to them for sure.
A lot of watch for not much £££. I haven't got a SKX homage, not really into GMT's but for want of a bigger crown and bezel insert, think this is quite tempting. Easy enough to change the crown & bezel insert. Although I like the insert other than the lack of lume pip.
That's a really good price for a decent spec GMT. I don't mind the name, it's common enough to know it's not some gibberish. Tom Ptolemy was a very well known tattooist from Southend in the 90s/00s scene The consistency of the branding design is a shame though
@@Jimmy_Cream It's not bad at all for a first effort from a new brand is it? Once they sort out the consistency of the branding, they'll be fine I think.
Great review mate, Nice looking watch for the price, especially being a SKX homage and GMT, i hope they sell some for their starter watch. Thanks for the video, on the side note: Looks like the Aliexpress brands are going away from the Greek and Italian names to Egyptian now -:))
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Absolutely, always liked SKX. The real crunch is Seiko NH34 movmen, every other knock-off uses this moment. What's the braclete like some of these cheaper watches have sharp edges and dig in to your wrist
I had heard of Ptolemy, strange name to choose, but not the worst, especilly once they get the logos matching. It's certainly good value, but I fancy an SKX alike at about 40mm with a 20mm bracelet, I think Cadisen do one, but ruin it with a cyclops. Hard to please aren't I? 🤣 It's the only way I stop buying hundreds of watches!
I thought most people would have heard of Ptolemy (at least in the West), but maybe I'm wrong. Well, to me it sounds better than some random letters, or 'Mikey'.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I’m not saying that Seiko is such a great value. I’m just saying this particular watch is really not that expensive so no need to homage it
