If you go a little further into wash there is a creek that runs year round ,hence the riparian area, plus on the low ridge on the east they used to mine Mica.
I have a 2004 Tundra, not 4x4. We just did the China dam drive yesterday. Had to stop at the top of the hill and walk down. We want to make the drive to the Homestead and I noticed in your video that on your way back you took the longer route. I know you said that if you don’t have four-wheel-drive that you’d have to stop short of the Homestead and walk the rest of the way on your way back Trail? Could my tundra make that drive?
It may be pretty tricky. I don't recall 100%, but if I said that it was definitely for a reason. Usually it's because you're going to need that extra traction from your front wheels to get over certain areas/obstacles. Is it impossible? Probably not..... the trail is only rated of four so you might be okay. I'm not sure what you mean by that I took the long way out because both China Dam and the tule Homestead is an out and back.... I did take an alternate way out of the China Dam Area which was a shortcut to get on the trail for the homestead. Maybe that was what you're referring to? By the way I very much appreciate you watching.
@@BuckinLifeoffroad yeah I meant the route that you took home from the Homestead not through the wash from the dam. Thank you for the reply back. I appreciate it.
Gr8 video. Just subscribed. Curious as to how u accomplished your drone shots given u were alone. Did u simultaneously drive and manipulate the controller?
You know what'd be really fun? Explain the difference between a bronco and a *"STOCK VEHICLE"* I've seen very little you've done that I can't do with my stock Suzuki Samurai. Oh wait~ maybe you're a Ford salesman....🤣
Uh huh. You haven't watched all my videos then. When I say stock I mean no lift and regular street tires mainly.... No skid plates... Etc. It's all about ground clearance for me. Maybe you can do most of what I do in your stock Samurai , but can you do it without destroying it? I say that mainly for the people that care about not damaging their rigs. I could bring many different types of stock vehicles on these trails and get through it but I promise they would have major damage... I mean, if you would like to follow me on some of these trails that you say you can do in your stock Samurai, you're definitely more than welcome to come along with me and prove me wrong...... I think THAT would be fun 😉.
Maybe instead of using the the term "stock", I should instead use the term "less capable". I appreciate you watching and definitely appreciate the insight. You got me thinking how I should clarify things better.
And no.... I'm actually just a blue collar truck driver 😁 no salesman here 😂. I just think the Bronco is an amazing machine... As are the "other" 4x4 rigs out there. I just couldn't love my Bronco more.... Unless I had like 30k for mods 😁
I can't believe you do all this Wheeling by yourself, no other vehicles. I won't hardly even go up to the entrance of those places much less get in to a place to put yourself in any kind of Jeopardy without another vehicle there but hey you think you know what you're doing
There is always some risk.... Definitely. I typically won't run highly technical trails by myself though. Of course breakdowns happen as well, but if I always waited for someone else to go with me, I'd hardly ever get to explore any new trails. You see I moved here from Florida in 2019 and even though I know some people that wheel, I don't know enough. The groups I know always go out on runs with way too many vehicles, and I don't really like wheeling with large groups. These days I don't get out there as much as I'd like anyway. I also choose to never go anywhere that's way too remote, just in case. It's very rare that when I'm out there I don't come across another vehicle. We only live once I guess.
your drone footage is always top notch
Tule is the name of the creek that runs by
One of my favorite places to camp is right before you go down into the creek, there's a turn off to a nice secluded spot that overlooks the dam.
Very cool! Thanks for watching and is always appreciated.
been too all these places; love seeing the videos
Another awesome video thanks for the tour.
You're the man George!

Very cool! I'll definitely be back out there again to do more exploring.
Definitely a fun trail!...great video...be safe out there in the heat👍
Thanks! Will do!
just FYI there is another homestead place out that way, do't know the name but it's in much better condition
Right on! I'll have to go look for it sometime!
seen it. was told it's a water gauge
Good Video! I live very close to there as well. Been there many times, never took that route leaving the damn though. Good info.
Thanks! I appreciate you watching very much.
nice video
Thanks buddy

Yes and no... Sometimes i control it manually, but other times i set it to track me automatically. I appreciate you watching and subbing very much!
Do you carry a pistol? Also, what's the little antenna you have on the fender? Thanks
Never leave home without it! Although I'm not always carrying it on my hip. The antenna is a gmrs radio antenna.
You know what'd be really fun?
