6.4 seconds for that old 1998 GS400??? Wow that thing has not lost power at all ~~ Old Lexus vehicles, can’t beat it 👏👏👏 also that very smooth starter and startup chime are so iconic for old Toyota/Lexus, I remember those days fondly
@@DMCarReviewsthose buttons on the wheel are actually the manual shift buttons 😆 it is weird but they’re there if you want to use those. It’s also nice to see a nice responsive 5-speed automatic, not a lot of gear hunting, just off it goes. 5 or 6 speeds really are perfect amount of gears for me at least.
Awesome video 👌... BTW I think you forgot to lock the hood 😂... this particular vehicle was my dream back then, it was either this or the GS430... really loved this ride.
@@DMCarReviews I would 100% still buy it. 10K on the surface is insanity, but with older Lexus/Toyota products it's worth it once you start driving them. I'm driving a 2007 Avalon right now.

Agreed. Rare to find a vehicle from 1998 with this kind of kick, not to mention reliability.
GS supposed to be a sportier version of an ES. Did really good for what they are
For sure! Great performance.

We had one of these. It broke down at 397,000 miles.
Some awesome miles!
Did it run out of windshield wiper fluid?
@@vehicleheightrestriction no
What mechanism broke down?
@@tougeruzbay caught fire while we were driving it for a few hours straight in the hot Arizona days. The engine just failed.
Nice review, I owned a 98 GS400 with the navigation system since 2001, Silver with Blk interior. They're great cars
Thank you for watching! They are amazing cars.
new favorite channel to see and hear engines work and learn about cars!
Thank you for watching! I'm also Dima, by the way.
@@DMCarReviews Oh awsome! Nice to meet you dima!!
@@dima-ho6cx Likewise!
This is such a great review, I have always loved these!!
Thank you for watching! Great cars.
The buttons on steering wheel are up shift and down shift ❤
Super cool! Thank you for explaining
Love a good Toyota product reliable and high quality, but usually really good performing as well
The old ones are really good!
I REQUESTED THIS THANK YOU
Thank you for watching!

Hi! Thanks for watching. The hood was locked throughout the drive, I just forgot to open it and then realized it shortly after.
Stealth hot rod. Nice.
For sure! Thank you for watching.
Please try and do an acura rlx sport hybrid of any year, they are crazy sleeper cars and nobody knows about them
I'll try to find one!
And reliable to
What is that app called on your phone?
It's a Dragy GPS device + app. I also use RaceBox. That way you can have data from two of the best performance measuring devices.
Nice car, but they want $10K. Insanity, but I'd still get it.
It's a clean classic! Reasonable price imo

@@YourMajesticKyngThis car has 87,000 miles. Very to hard one like this. I'm sure higher mileage examples run $5,000-$6,000.
@@DMCarReviews I would still buy a higher mileage one too. I know this drives like butter.
@@DMCarReviewsgood price!
you forgot the hood opened I guess maybe you've checked it before driving & you didn't show us the engine bay as always what a lost for us
It happens🤷♂️ Yes, I checked it shortly after heading out, but I didn't want to insert it randomly into the video.
