Ronaldo is the most exciting player I've ever seen. Messi is perfect in his game, I've never seen someone play as precise as Messi. But Ronaldo has that physical gift and he used it, it was scary. And in this generation of football everyone is a physical specimen. Just about every player has been a professional footballer since they were 7 years old. Has the peak of sports science available to them. It's harder now to use physical ability than ever. Ronaldo in older generations where players became professionals in their 20s and smoked and drank would score a hattrick every game. The skills Messi has are more crucial in modern football. The skillet Ronaldo had (Bale had a similar skillset) is not easy to produce with, these defenders are as physically fit as ever. The current game in skills and mental and a maestro center mid is the most important player on a team. A center mid that has had the same players around him for a while, and given a while to design his game. They don't get the credit they deserve but watch how Madrid struggles with the loss of Kroos. You can't simply replace a center mid who had had several seasons to curate his game.
