Well since we’re being technical. Skylanders has already been on Death Battle because Spyro was already on an episode.
They were only using the Legend of Spyro continuity.

Yugioh would be great especially since Kaiba has the virtual stuff to make it real now in the newest movie or just let yugi use his eye to summon his monsters from there dimensions or just make the monsters real but it be hard to implement trap cards that say destroy or bounce to deck or tribute over cause technical tribute over could be seen as a sacrifice for summoning a monster insta winning if he uses the actual opponent for stuff like lava golem etc

Hi, fan of Until Dawn here, the funny thing about the game is that they’re actually incredibly accurate and faithful to the original depictions of Wendigo with them being pale elongated beasts that form after an act of cannibalism, plus the game, despite having the Wendigo as the villain, is actually super respectful towards the culture, so that’s neat
But even with that, they’re not really interesting in a Death Battle context and everyone else in the game is just normal fucking people

19:34 I can tell you as someone who has played every single Layton game, that yes Layton has shit going on. Yes he does have a sword but he also a ton of shit at his disposal which is why I push for Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton on the discord server.
I feel it doesn't work as a versus unlike the crossover. Layton seems more down to earth, albeit very skilled and composed. Phoenix in his MvC ending helped defeat and defend Galactus, but more importantly, canonically physically tussled with the wide cast of Project X Zone characters.

There's a few characters in Magic the Gathering you could do, but you do kind of have to stick to characters that get a lot of external media (I.e comics, games, animations). Some include:
- Urza (probably one of the biggest ones)
- Karn (another big one, but falls into the Iron Giant situation where pitting him in a death match kinda goes against the point if him)
- Bolas obviously
- Chandra (probably the most extensively covered modern Planeswalker, also easiest to animate due to having several game models)
- Tezzeret (actually has a surprising amount of external content by way of comics)
- Gideon (ome of the few modern characters to have completed their character arc)
- Kaya (consistently popular character with good writing and good potential for analysis)
Then there's some characters that would be interesting, but I'm not sure how you would approach them, such as:
- Nahiri
- Ugin
- The Phyrexian Army/Elesh Norn
- Niv-Mizzet
- Sorin Markov
- Tyvar
- Kaito
- Tibalt (lol)

The fact that you genuinely mentioned Guzzlord in this video made me really happy because he is my absolute favorite Pokemon.
And while I personally much prefer Guzzlord vs Nakarkos as a matchup (On top of also being a Monster Hunter MU I much prefer the thematic connections between the two and I think it could be a bit more debatable going by how their toolkits and movesets could bounce off and counter one another, whereas people have described Deviljo vs Guzzlord as the creature equivalent putting a pickle in a blender), I do agree that Deviljo vs Guzzlord could be charming.

As a really big Kengan fan (it's my favorite manga,) there aren't too many matchups for Kengan, Ohma vs Baki is the only one that really matters.
Most other Kengan matches are also against other Baki characters (Kuroki Gensai vs Doppo Orochi, Lihito vs Sikorsky, etc)
and the ones against non Baki characters that are just kinda okay (Kanoh Agito vs Cassandra Kane, Kiryu Setsuna vs Goro Majima, etc)
but the main problem is that they would mostly retread scaling from eachother, and some characters (as cool as they are) don't have much else to work with for their analysis since most of their backstories are pretty brief, and have few moments spread throughout the series.
I've heard Ellie and Clementine being kids in opposition to the matchup happening and I always thought that was weird because Clementine is almost 18 in the last season and Ellie is canonically 19. No shade I just really like the matchup and both characters and would really wanna see it happen. Also Luke Castellan vs Adam Taurus goes crazy change my mind.

Oww the Senran Kagura bit hurt me XD honestly though it has some VERY fun match ups and I'd love to see at least one of them happen. Katsuragi vs Yang, Asuka vs Hakufu, Yumi vs Haku, Homura vs Shana, just to name some fun ones. Yeah I gret it, some people are gonna be like "haha its the busty ninja game!" BUT those who only look at it like that really annoy me, cause its got fun gameplay, awesome music, and genuinely fun characters that I feel have some worth being invested into. And its already had descent crossovers with some bigger franchises like Blazblue and Fate.
Unironically Killer Bean vs Hank J. Wimbledon (Killer Bean/Madness Combat) is such a good matchup for both and does not get talked about enough. And is better than Pico. I don't like Pico vs Hank.
Yakuza has the potential for great fights and banter.
Thomas the tank engine vs lighting McQueen would be dope as all hell glad it’s getting more support and it was definitely a surprise to see it on this list either way this was a very fun tier list like always keep up the good work nemmy

EDIT: Personally, I think Jack Sparrow vs Edward Kenway from AC: Black Flag is a better option.
I don't know of any matchups that speak to me, but I wouldn't be against it
As a pretty big warriors fan, I'd say it does have high potential, but really only a few would be interesting enough to bring in, same with samurai warriors. A big issue would be that matchups would mostly be counterparts if the character ( Lu Bu Vs Lu Bu, for example), or would be pretty weakly connected, or just crossing with the other warriors series. So, overall, interesting, but hard to work with for a good episode
I am mad that Murder Drones isn’t on this list, so many people (including myself) would love to see N make it onto the show. And before you say it could be tied in with SMG4, Meta Runner is more connected to that and it got a slot on the list.

One death battle I've been dreaming of seeing since the first episode as a cyberpunk fan is Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell vs. Adam Jensen from the Deus Ex video game series.

My current most wanted death battle matchup is from Warhammer 40k, the one I hoped would get voted on last year. Brainiac vs Trayzn the Infinite. Also I’ve heard Ghazghkull Thraka has a great matchup against someone named Thrall from World of Warcraft, which would be cool too. Warhammer 40k deserves to be on Death Battle, and I think they’d be able to overcome the challenges of the limited visual media
Fuckin lol. This tier list is mine. It does suck in places. There are some notable omissions as well. But my main rationale for this tier list was using every tranchise that was on Death Battle Cast even before the new format. That's why Nick Junior was there, because they had an episode with the commerical bumper character. All the food brands are there because of Cereal Mascot Battle Royale. Also there’s a shitty grey filter on all the white and black logos. Dragon Quest isn't on here but apparently I had to include All You Need Is Kill. Lmao

Kamen Rider Amazon vs Blanka would be go so hard, I could see Daisuke try to avoid Blanka’s lightning and rolling attack while I’m getting in hits of his own with a Amazon kick and Dai Setsudan. Also would Daisuke be giving access to the Gaga Armlet?

I'd have to imagine you give him Gaga, it's a pretty staple part of his kit. And I can't say I'm too knowledgeable on Agito, but I've been on a big Kamen Rider kick and thinking of matchups lately. Currently watching Wizard.

you wouldn’t composite mazinger z with great mazinger because they are two individual mechas, you should composite every version of mazinger z like manga, tv, shin, etc. same thing applies to great mazinger, grendizer, mazinkaiser or zero
If I personally were to composite Mazinger I'd either just use the Toei version or composite the Nagai stories with Infinity probably. I feel like Mazinkaiser and ZERO could warrant their own matchups or wouldn't be necessary depending on the opponent. Like against God Gundam, RX-78-2, or Tetsujin it definitely doesn't need Kaiser or ZERO.

thematic in the way that they're modern teens thrust into a magical world but thats very surface level as is their drive to save their friends. percy desnt share ichigo's asspull transformations or mixed bloodline heritage that makes his uber special and important. also ichigo massively oustats percy in every regard. wouldnt work for anyone outside of people wanting an easy dub for ichigo@@MidnightPhantom
Honestly for Percy Jackson, I think Zagreus from Hades would be the most thematic and debatable matchup. Both have magic weapons, magic powers, are directly tied to Greek mythology through bloodline, problems with their Godly Father, and their journeys essentially take them through a who’s who of Greek mythological characters.
