Here are my questions 1. Will Alistair and Anora make an appearance? 2. Who is canonically the Divine? 3. Will Dorian appear a lot in the Tevinter sections of the game? 4. Will we know a lot about the companions of Veilguard? 5. Do any of them get a happy ending? 6. Will we get to see Kieran in his 20s? 7. Will the Elves get a homeland of their own and the respect they deserve? 8. Are we going to get an actual lore explanation of who actually made Thedas? 9. Is there going to be a companion quest for Harding in helping her rebuild Bianca? 10. What are the countries outside of Thedas? 11. Are the Fex going to make an actual Debut? 12. Are we actually getting some info on all of the characters’ ages in this franchise?
You did a brilliant job, clarifying a lot of those questions with just the right amount of information and explanation of each one, it was an excellent run down without a lot of unnecessary "extras" it was to the point and well defined, thank you.
I like how the backgrounds imply our characters morals or previous objectives, but can still roleplay something like a criminal being conscripted or situationally forced like the HOF. Lords of Fortune are selfish, Grey Wardens are selfless, Crows are ruthless, Shadow Dragons are merciful, Veil Jumpers are thirsty for knowledge/exploration and Mourn Watchers preserve/maintain strange magic. I’m still having a hard time picking the first background I want to explore when the game comes out. Mourn Watchers seem to be the least talked about or anticipated so I might build a character around that first. It would be so cathartic to have another Grey Warden protagonist though…and I really resonate with Shadow Dragons. Help 💔 lol Kind of just thinking out loud.
Yeah it's really difficult to pick one, they all sound interesting honestly. I'm most likely going for a Lord of Fortune for my first run as I think it's a good fit for my character's backstory (at least the one I've been making up in my head for years now lmao) but we'll see... I might change my mind once I'm on the character creation screen. 😂 I'm also really interested in Veil Jumpers cause that seems to be the type of thing I'd be into. I also love the Grey Wardens, though, and the Shadow Dragons sound great too. I'm not sure if I'm much help here hahaha. Maybe try to think about what kind of character you want to play (their personality, past, motivations etc) and try to pick a faction based on that?
I mentally prepared for it after how long the development time has been on this game, but I’m still really sad that Hawke isn’t appearing and that the fade choice will have no effect on the game. I really loved Hawke and Here lies the Abyss is such a great mission in DAI. Really hoped they’d pick up both the fade and warden plot lines. Alas not to be.
First, I'll start by saying I really enjoy your content. Watched this channel for a while now and you do a great job. I can tell you have a true enthusiasm for the series and I look forward to what you create as the game as more details are released. That being said, I'm disappointed in and overall simplification of the game as a whole. No more tact. map, from 3 companions to 2, a focus on a more "hack and slash" style combat. It seems they looked at ME2 and have tried to copy the overall gameplay/story telling of that hit in hopes of recapturing past successes. I'm sure this will be fun on some levels but it is a further departure from the aspects of the game I found to be truly entertaining. The Dragon Age Origins identity has slowly been eliminated from the current iterations and I feel we will see a further progression of this. Will I still play the game? Sure. Sadly however, I am expecting less from the game than I ever have throughout the franchise. Yes. I hope I'm wrong of course but I feel the series is stepping away from me and from what I've enjoyed. Time will tell however. In the end I'm simply one fan, perhaps this is a better approach for the franchise and bioware. Time will tell. I was an 8 out of 10 in excitement. Now about a 5 or 6.
Thank you, I'm glad to hear that! Yeah, I totally understand that. I would have preferred a more slow, tactical approach as well rather than the fast paced tactics they seem to have gone with for this one. I'm not too bothered by it yet as I find it really hard to judge gameplay from only looking at it, I usually get a good idea of what I think of it once I've actually played it myself. Plus, I'm mostly here for the story and the characters. I get why people aren't a fan of this, though. Glad to hear that you're giving the game a chance, at least. I really hope you get to enjoy it in some way at least. :)
Interesting that they specify that we can ‘improve or customize’ our armor, but do not specifically mention that we can craft it. So maybe we can’t craft new armor, but if we want we can keep and improve what armor we find/buy, instead of 99% of all the gear we earned being effectively junk that was only good for selling. It kind of puts me in mind of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, in that you didn’t have enemies drop weapons and armor you could use, but you could upgrade the equipment you do have with crafting resources, meaning that even your starting weapons and armor could be used throughout the game if you invested in them.
I just dont understand. They increase lvl cap to 50. The largest skill tree we have had in dragon age and were only locked to 3 abilities? That tells me 80% of the tree is like assassins creed. Just passive % boosts
They were but they are much more common in Ferelden. I remember I think it was Fenris(?) who said he liked to think the dogs preferred barbarians to mages 😂
I feel the same, even though I have very little to base it on. There's just something about her, haha. Maybe it's the potential connection to the executors, idk
@@LisaLynnsTavern I mean maybe? I'm just noticing its always apostates giving us the old heel turn. (I think the weird vallaslin aren't helping.) Also there's totally nothing sus about her 'fascination with old magic'. Maybe I'm just looking too deeply into it, but I can't help but watch my mage companions like a suspicious templar- its practically a Bioware tradition at this point.
So Varic and Harding see some rook nobody fighting in a bar. And somehow the nobody bar fighter rook joins Varic to stop an eleven god from destroying the world but no one else is bothering to stop the end of the world. Did the rest of the Inquisition heroes abandoned Varic and Thedas. Sounds like the actual game may make more sense hopefully. I wish the nobody character had an origin prologue to show why they and Neve are the only ones to help Varic and Harding's desperate last minute attempt to save the world.
In Inquisition, when a barrier is up only a mage companion could destroy it. If not you flail at it angrily doing nothing. Without a full mixed party of classes part of the game is locked off him.
The devs weren't picking the questions live, they answered questions that were sent in by us beforehand. Before this we didn't know we weren't going to be able to do blood magic, so there was no reason to ask why. The devs said Rook has a good reason to not use it, that reason might be what was talked about in the recent GameInformer article. People on the BioWare discord have asked about character cameos, but the devs didn't want to spoil the surprise, so we'll have to wait and see!

Gods, it would be stupid not to bring Dorian back, I hope they give him a reasonable amount of screen time.
Enchantment! The return of our Maker Sandal.
Our lord and saviour!!

when they said you could hug the griffon the chat went nuts lol
Yep 😂
Well behind or not, thank you for keeping us posted 👍
You're welcome! 😎
Morrigan and allisters banter will always be the very best

I remember in Dragon Age Origins companions, I believe Shale and Sten would try to stab me if I attempted to romance them.

The tree looks identical to Valhallas so that is exactly what I am expecting sadly.
A story of regret? That could be interesting
Thanks for the video!
And thank you for watching!
This is fantastic, thank you!
Thank you for the update! :)
Maybe I missed something but will there be golems and shapeshifting/transformations for the main character??
Am I wrong or weren't the mabari magically bred in Tevinter?
They were but they are much more common in Ferelden. I remember I think it was Fenris(?) who said he liked to think the dogs preferred barbarians to mages 😂

Romancing her will be more important then.
I wonder if they will have a color wheel ? 😭
Does the game have a pronoun generator as we

They might not have that mechanic this time around
So no one ask why we cant do blood magic and were all the other members from the last game.
