Your videos are seriously so comforting! My fiancé travels a ton for his new job and it has been such an adjustment for me spending a lot more time alone. It is hard!! Glad that you’re feeling better and better about independence 💕
I was just diagnosed with perioral dermatitis too, it came out of no where, but my dermatologist told me something that irritates it more is acne medications since they’re meant to dry out acne and surprisingly… cinnamon. The spice irritates the “rash”. So so weird but after getting a topical cream it’s helped so much!
You are so smart to get your skin check and to listen to your gut feeling and not a regular MD that says you're probably fine!!! Same thing happened to my brother-in-law when he asked him to check a spot in the middle of his back that my sister noticed was bleeding when he got out of the shower. The MD said it was probably nothing, and my sister was pissed and made him make a dermatology appointment. Two days later he found out it was melanoma, and they did emergency surgery on it. A huge chunk of his back was cut out, but thankfully it didn't spread to his lymph nodes. No matter what your age, get an annual skin check. Be your own best advocate for your health!
I have had perioral dermatitis on and off for the last 7 years. It started after I moved to collage and I let it go for so long that it spread up my face toward my eyes! I have had my longest stretch without an outbreak for the last 2ish years. Biggest things that have helped is absolutely no face wash, lotion or makeup on my chin area. My dermatologist recommended only using Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser to wash the rest of your face and never putting to many products on. If you are having an outbreak don’t put anything on it I know it looks dry but it actually needs to dry up completely so it can go away. When I had bad outbreaks medicine was the only thing that got rid of it. I hope this helps it’s definitely a pain to deal with.
I have really similar experiences with having a VERY physical reaction on my skin (specifically my face also) in times of exacerbated stress!! Even though it doesn’t help my skin problems entirely, any time I’m anticipating times of increased stress I make a point to be very very intentional about my skin care, hydration, and managing my stress as best as possible, and it really helps with my symptoms :) that along with what the derm prescribed should work like a charm
I also had such rash on my face after my mom passed away rash and stomach problems, bloating some bacterial imbalance and I went to dr and she perscribe me some cream and it helped right away I also had on chest that rash and belly.
Yes I went for inspecion and failed it last week as that engine light so today i left them car for them to fix it so I can pass inspecion they said catalitic converter.
I suggest working on your kidney health. Skin conditions and eye conditions are often connected to the kidneys, and emotionally kidneys deal with fear and the fear of loss in particular. Perhaps losing your father scared you to death, and those skin conditions are that fear coming out as you process your emotions. Love your videos for your realness ❤❤❤
I cured my perioral dermatitis by eliminating my vitamin c serum and taking prescription seysara (my dermatologist tried other things but ultimately the only thing that cured it was taking seysara and stopping all vitamin C products). Good luck!
I had perioral dermatitis and started oral medication for it. They did not tell me the severity of the medication. It can eff you up. Please be careful and conscious of your mental state and health if you do take oral medication!! And do your research on medicine. I took 1 round of the med and stopped after that cus it freaked me out. It did go away in a week and after I stopped it sometimes flares up a little but I’m scared to take the pills for it and it’s not as bad so😅
Gretchen I have that dermatitis too and something that's helped me is squalane oil! i get mine from biossance and put it on before my moisturizer on days i don't do retinol. It helps retain moisture and something about the pH in it helps your skin microbiome. and i've noticed my itchiness/redness go down SO MUCH. i found out about it through a reddit thread n honestly best 30 bucks i've spent on skincare ever
Ive watched you since college, you have grown so much and love your content and weekly vlogs. you are honestly just so satisfying to watch and my favorite comfort influencer. It looked like you found a wedding dress in NYC, I'm sure its beautiful and congrats!!! Also, can you do a video of what you splurge on vs what you go cheap on. Brooke and Danielle made a podcast on this and just curious to see what other people think certain things are worth spending more money on. 💗
Boil the quinoa in low sodium chicken broth! Or even half broth half water if you don’t want it too strong. But it makes it 1000% times yummier! Promise!!🫶🏼🫶🏼
Seriously so proud of you! I can totally see how much you have grown with being ok by yourself. It’s really inspiring me🫶

Sleep with Organic castor oil from a glass bottle on your dry patches. I have the exact same thing!! It works.

One thing that I would suggest is emptying your vacuum sweeper, you’re going beyond the Max fill for it to work
Gretchen!! I had the worst perioral derm flare up in the winter this past year and the only thing that worked was minocycline!! Life saver!!
Alone time is iconic
What do you do for your at home workouts?
Need to get my skin checked ✅ thanks for the inspiration!!
What derm was it? I'd like to see a good one on the cape because I have SO MANY MOLES TOO.
I love hockey season
I had a tanning bed phase in hs too lol
Try Spectro face wash! I use the acne prone version (purple label). It’s dermatologist approved and got rid of my perioral!
I also had such rash on my face after my mom passed away rash and stomach problems, bloating some bacterial imbalance and I went to dr and she perscribe me some cream and it helped right away I also had on chest that rash and belly.
Hey Gretchen, please consider getting a microphone for your camera. I think it would really improve the audio quality
You should do a podcast about spending time alone!
I love when my husband leaves for work lol
Sending love 💕
Where is max staying for hockey season?
