1966 - I was 15/16, and remember every single one of these songs. It was AM radio then. Music was my refuge from the total brutality of high school. Hope it's better now, couldn't be worse than it was for many of us.

Too bad I can’t have those years back.

Great year, 1966 for pop music - here are a few that were left off the List (for some reason...) e.g. WipeOut (The Safaris);!Nowhere Man (Beatles); You’re too good to be True (Frankie Valle); The Sound of Silence (Simon & Garfunkel); Our Day Will Come (Cher) & All You Need is Love (Beatles) = all of these listed above were big hits and play’d often (no doubt ‘for a bribe...) on the Real Don Steele Show 93 KHJ in Los Angeles in the Summer of 1966
This was a great collection of images. However, the one for "Out of Time", by the Rolling Stones (at 9:23) is weird .... It is labeled "Aftermath", but this isn't the album cover for "Aftermath". In fact, if you cut and paste all the faces from this picture, and put them together, viola! You now have the album cover for their album "Flowers"! I wonder if this picture was the cover for a foreign album?
day tripper, we can work it out, nowhere man, Pretty Flamingo, barbara ann, a legal matter, till the end of the day, a well respected man, the kids are all right, and as tears go by, are from 1965... I had too much to dream last night, is from 1967. apart from that, the compilation is very precise and interesting.
Ohhhhhh poor me!!! he was wrong in ten, and I was wrong in only one, and the idiot is me!!! I said it's from 1967, because the LP is from that year... any way, th video ten mistakes, Me, one mistake... Not so much idiot...
+Gustavo De la Camara Montes, so much people is more idiot than you, you are not idiot, so, i'm a believer from the monkees had to be here, but nooooot
Sure I'm a Believer is in his list of 1967, despite it was released in late 1966. Many people put the songs one year later because it was when these songs were hits. That's the trouble with "the kids are allright" and "a legal matter", they were released in november of 1965, in england, but in 1966 in the USA. same was Nowhere man, Rubber Soul was released in november 1965, but they used to play that in the concerts of 1966... and was Nº3 in the hit parades of USA in that year, but for me, one song is from the year it was originally released. I was wrong with the Electric Prunes for that reason. The song was a hit in 1967, and the electric prunes LP is from 1967, but the single was released in 1966, and you're right.
The year I was born. Thanks for sharing these great hits. 👍
I was in my last year at the U of Minnesota, so I didn't have much time to listen to pop music. But it's fun to hear those songs now.
Excellent! Thank you!
So many good songs - in just ONE damn year! What do get today in one year? I mean, music that's played for decades and beyond. Probably nothing.
This is the younger years of my life I was growing up and the best years of my life.
Thank you for the fabulous walk down memory lane! It was a GREAT year!

+Gustavo De la Camara Montes i cannot tell it better
aha!!!!
Lets make the clips a little shorter, we can almost get them.....
Bit more of each song would have made it better, i got fed up so i moved on.
I loved most all of it except bob Dylan I didn't like him in the 60s great song writer can't sing worth shit
If he sang like Perry Como (for example), he wouldn't be Bob Dylan!
