- In today's video we take a look at the Cyelee Wolf 2. A red dot which is cheap but surprisingly durable. In this review I will talk about the experience I've had thus far, after having shot plenty of rounds and carrying everyday.
Big Thank you to Cyelee for sending us this optic for testing!

I own the Cat Pro and 2 Wolf Pro 2. I took the Holosun 509T off my G40 and replaced it with the Wolf Pro. No regrets. Nice review 🙏🏿
I was on the fence but thank you for this video! Also love the Coquí blue hat, me being born in PR appreciate to see it, it usually means you visited and had a great experience 👍🏻
I did and it was a great time. Very beautiful place
Thanks for this review. Great info. I bought a cyelee cat a couple of weeks ago … haven’t shot it yet but I expect it to perform as advertised.
Great review man!!! This is one of the best reviews I have seen on this optic. This is my first optic ever.I grew up shooting iron sights with my dad growing up.I would say I stopped shooting around 22-23,and now got back into it at 40 lol.I just wanted to see what all the hype was about with these red and green dots everyone is putting on there pistols, and drooling over.I think it is pretty cool.I am not completely sold to put them on all my handguns, but I do like them.I been having issues (user error) trying to get my Green dot zeroed.I think I am close, but what a challenge for a noob with them.I really to be honest probably would have just kept my gun the way it was,if I knew how much money, and a pain it would be,but in the long run I think I will like it.I just got to get use to it.
Thank you for the feedback I’m happy to hear it! Absolutely not for everyone in every situation so you’ll have to apply it case by case. Remember I have a sample size of 1.
I got the cat for my Hellcat RDP just to see what I wanted in a red dot and ended up loving it. Easily a put couple of thousand rounds on it. Got the wolf for my Echelon and have had over a thousand rounds on that and it is still going strong. Have yet to have a reason to upgrade or replace them.
How is that Echelon performing for you? I’ve been looking into that model.
I got the cat x pro bc it was sub $300 and gives you multi reticle. And it actually mounts to glock MOS cut without modification or adapters.
I have the wolf2-G for astigmatism and it's the only thing that isn't blurry. But it has a dot inside a big circle so if you don't like that it isn't for you.
I like the Puerto Rico hat nice video 👍🏼
Yes
did you try to lower the brightness at 100m? that would make the dot half of its size, I have the same red dot and no issues whatsoever if the illumination is down.
I guess I’ll try one out. I have trijicons, holosuns, but I want to try it for the stigmatisim
I will say trijicons and holosun are going to be better but this thing isn’t the worst. At least it’s not an airsoft red dot pretending to be a real steel red dot.
How did it run? I've never had a red dot on a pistol. And am interested
@@nathanielselvidge4157 it’s definitely an experience. Once you get the hang of it, you don’t want to use regular sights 👍🏽🎯
@@silverandblackentertainmentThanks man. How's the durability on it? I've these things are fairly fragile
@@nathanielselvidge4157 i suggest getting a holosun red dot. Durability on holosun is great
Cyelee is the way to go I own holosuns that are 350$ ade at 70$ and cyelee at 150$ the fact that they all do the same hold zero and have good durability shows that I shouldn’t be spending 350$ it’s like Gucci your paying for the name
Sounds like you’re part of the cuéleme team😂😂😂😂
Great Video, WHat type of drop rig are you running??
You mean like holster?
@@purposefularmament Correct, Belt, leg strap, etc..etc
The belt is a warrior poet blue alpha, safariland UBL mid ride with a QLS receiver plate, I use the Trex Ragnorok with QLS for competitions and the safariland 6354 RDSO when I want active retention. The great part about safariland QLS is I can easily swap the holsters in a couple seconds. I like the mid ride also because my long gangly arms aren’t as cramped when drawing
So... if your walking or driving, the optic keeps coming on or just stays on due to perceived motion?
It will stay on anytime motion is detected and turn off after about 5min of no motion. So if you’re walking it will stay on
Will this optic fit a p320 m18?
As long as the slide is cut for the RMR footprint… or it would need some kind of adapter plate
Does it fit RMR footprint?
Yes sir it does
Damn can’t seem to get your code to work
Yes, all of the optics labeled “wolf” that cyelee makes are for the RMR footprint and all of their optics labeled “cat” are for the RMSc footprint
@@ohsnapz1897 Sorry didn't see this until now. If you still haven't purchased make sure you're looking at the WOLF 2 it only works for that specific optic.
Yeah I couldn't get it to work either but that was like 7 days after your reply
Does the code still work
It should!
@@purposefularmament it didn’t unfortunately when I tried it
I’ll reach out and update you when I know!
The code should work now
What’s Cyelee’s customer service #?
Or email address?
Or where are they located?
I’m not sure but it should be on their website!

Maybe I am confused about pistol red dots, but who would shoot a pistol at a target at 100 yards? These are made for close quarters and quick target acquisition, hence the 3 MOA reticle that is supposed to be seen at arm length distance.
For practical reasons? Not much I can think of outside of handgun hunting. But it's fun and a good way to push your abilities if you have access to the range. Shooting at 100yds will tell you really quick if you have poor trigger control or are anticipating recoil. You can get away with those when shooting at 10-15yds and still make good hits, not so much at 50+ yds.
@1312020m I understand, but a red dot on a pistol is for quick target acquisition at short distances. It is 3 MOA because the pistol is way out in front of the user as opposed to it being 2 MOA like the ones intended for rifles. Even if it were fun for shooting at 100 yards, I cant see the point of doing so since, like was already mentioned, the 3 MOA is too big to see the target at that long distance.
@@Nuthing_but_the_Truth the larger the dot the faster you tend to be able to aquire it. That's why a lot of people like running the 5MOA SRO for competition use because it's faster to pick up than the 1 or 2.5MOA versions. 3MOA really isn't coving too many targets at 100yds, its about a 3" diameter circle. Headshots at 100yds with a 3MOA dot are still easily doable. 1 gallon water jugs with food coloring are my favorite target, and the dot sits fully inside that at 100yds. You can even still see pop cans using the dot at 100yds if you don't have it turned to the max brightness and all bloomed out.
@@Nuthing_but_the_Truth on my carry guns I have Holosuns with a 2MOA dot, I normally run that at like 9 brightness and it looks more like a 5-6MOA dot unless you're in direct sunlight or using a WML. If I wanna shoot them at distance I turn it down to like 7 to make the dot shrink back to it's proper 2MOA size.
@1312020m I'm not doubting you, I was just explaining why typical pistol red dots are 3 MOA. They still aren't meant for long range, because handguns aren't either.
You kinda run like a trex
Precise shots at 100 yards with a handgun ....😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes sir it’s not that hard to do…
