Hi Everyone! Today, I am bringing the Nikon-SB910 series to an end with part 5, and it's all about the 910 as an off camera flash within the Nikon CLS environment. Let's face it, off camera flash is what everybody wants to know about, so here goes! Hope this video series was helpful to you. Go grab yourself a 910 if you don't have one :D You can find them for very affordable prices these days on eBay.

Thanks Sergiu for your YT content on the Nikon SB-910. I have 5 of these flashes and have only used them off camera with Pocket Wizard triggers. I will now have a new outlook on them after seeing your videos.
Thanks! I've been making videos on different subjects but it turns out that a whopping 80% of all the watch time hours on my channel over the last 12 months come from these Nikon SB-910 videos! I am really quite surprised at how much people like this, I did not expect such a huge watchtime tendency towards these videos, and I am considering making more photography videos since it's so overwhelmingly obvious that this is the subject people are most interested in on my channel! I wanted to make them since nobody seems to have properly covered the SB-910, and I'm glad they helped you and everybody else watching! I also try to improve my content by scripting the videos, which helps me a lot since I basically do not have a memory haha!
I've never used the Pocket Wizard trigger. Do you have a minute to explain what they do if you don't mind? Do they take the CLS link and make it wireless, or am I wrong? And if so, what happens to the distance information? Cheers! I wish I could afford more 910s, but the one I have served me well.

wow... your video is fantastically comprehensive. the nikon z8 came out after this video . What would be a suitable trigger for the z8 to use the 910 as an off camera flash?

Can you tell me if I can use the sb910 with a Nikon D3s as a commander to control a off camera flash sb800 attached to a Softbox??!!? Can’t get a straight answer anywhere
Hello! The answer is a pretty straight forward YES, to my knowledge all the CLS speedlights can receive CLS commands, just make sure the IR sensor on the side of the unit that is used to receive the commands is not covered by the soft box. Ideally you want a clear line of sight between the SB800's sensor and the 910's head, but bouncing will do as well.
