    One of the popular winners in this race's history. The 'Eclipse Stakes' is named after a horse who was unbeaten at the time way before Frankel.

      Infact Eclipse can be found in most racehorses pedigrees.

    Great little horse; to win this, the Derby and Arc took some doing.

    Caro was a brilliant horse at 8 and 10 furlongs. He didn't stay 12 furlongs.

      @@danielconnor8647 I'm well aware of that. He ran his best race here, and the furthest he ever won won was 10 furlongs (note the correct spelling of furlongs). He ran a gallant fourth in Mill Reef's Arc in 1971, unless my memory is failing me Jimmy Lindley rode him that day.
