Tornado Ravages Elgin; Several Homes In Ruins

- Chopper 2 and Kris Habermehl were over a neighborhood in Elgin where a tornado caused extensive damage to several homes Wednesday night. The homes appeared to have sustained significant structural damage. Several emergency response agencies were in the area around Stoney Creek Drive.

Tornado went through my friends land west of Elgin. There were 2 chickens that got sucked up into the tornado. If anyone finds his chickens, please comment here. R.I.P. chickens, just in case.

i’m in chicago and i can confirm that it was raining hard and my neighborhood, bridgeport, was going to get hit by that tornado and then ended up not getting hit. kinda terrifying

Pingree grove station 1 was in sight where they said “south Elgin”
He's flying in from the west toward the Del Webb development in Elgin. The damaged area is in the northwest portion of Del Webb along Longcommon Road.
Tornado formed just south and west of the new Pingree Grove station (not sure if that's station 1 or not).

‘So-called county engineers’ - should have confirmed that building CODES were adhered to - - prior to this Destruction.
I highly suggest there in a thorough - and HONEST investigation - looking for - and documenting - every CODE VIOLATION - at every house that was ‘so-called built’ - by that ‘so-called builder / developer’.
SHAME-ON every county that is in the pockets of any ‘so-called builder / developer’.
Yes, this does look like structural issue with the side walls of those homes. The damage is so similar on so many of the homes. I would have expected the roofs to sustain more damage than the walls.

You have a drone to show what was going on? Go ahead and put out your drone in that bad weather! Someone has to drive the drone out to the place where the severe weather is and then wait for input!
