With summer winding down, it is time to finish up your last minute land chores before bow hunting begins! There is always so much to do to prepare for deer season but now is also the best time to prepare your land for rabbit hunting. In this video, we are going to show you how to build rabbit castles as advertised by Jeff Sturgis with @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751. This strategy will boost the population of rabbits on your land giving you a more exciting and successful rabbit hunt this winter.

I appreciate you giving Jeff credit because he is where you heard about building brush piles for rabbits. But the fact is wildlife managers have been encouraging people to do this for decades. If you don`t have pallets, lay down a couple logs, an old culvert or anything that will create space under the brush and you`re in business. Good video and enjoy what you have created.
Thank you!! Good advice as well. Anything you can find to create cover will work! Thanks for watching!
Hinge cut box elders along line fences. Rabbits need grassy areas also for having their little ones. I also throw busted up mineral blocks in the line fences. They seem to have more bunnies with that help. After the last day of rabbit hunting I am their best friend!! Lol
@@gregfredrick283 those are all great tips! Happy hunting!
That's some nice rabbitat you got there...😎
Thanks😎
Clever idea
Thanks! It seems to work really well for us!
@@BuckFeverOutdoors heck ya it would stack up then bunnies man good eating
If you see a woodchuck set up in the habitat you created do you get rid of them.
Looks like a snake haven too...lol
@@MJ74NC you never know what kind of critter might enjoy a place like this! I’m hoping we see more rabbits than snakes!
@BuckFeverOutdoors I'm sure you will...good luck!
How long before the pallets rot down to the point the rabbits cant access?
Usually, they will last for years! Even if the wood starts to go bad, rabbits can still use it for a long time.
Do you eat the rabbits?
Any update?!?
We see rabbits in and around these “castles” all the time!
@@BuckFeverOutdoors Good to know I built several of these yesterday but also threw some small salt block pieces around. According to the American beagler giving rabbits salt pays dividends for their reproduction.
Do not use cut with your chainsaw above your shoulders
