  • Flexing, Bending, Snapping - round 1 of Testing, Breaking & Comparing our patented EXO FLEX TECHNOLOGY against a few other surfboard constructions. The testing was designed to give us a deeper understanding of our technology and to further develop its capabilities.

    Looking forward to seeing the data too, great insights. It looks like the stringerless EPS-Epoxy didn't snap in the video?

      It broke but without the resounding snap like the other boards. It handled a fair bit of force but was bent a ridiculous amount before it broke and was more of a sagging snap rather than a pronounced bang.

    Love the idea, but can we see the data? Engineers like myself use what's called an Instron machine to make stress strain curves for different materials, and creating some stress strain curves for surfboards would be really interesting.

      We did record and graph all the results and they will be featured in an upcoming video. Really learned a lot of useful information from this exercise.

      Thanks mate glad you like it. As Stuart mentioned we are going to do a more in depth video at some point soon showing graphed results from our testing. Thanks for the idea on the stress strain testing we will have to have a look into it.

    How ridiculous to think stressing a board till breakage makes any difference in the performance of a surfboard. U tube at its best.

      Hey Champ, one of our main reasons was to test the flex characteristics of our surfboards. If you know anything about surfing you'll know flex plays a vital role in a boards performance.
      We recorded the amount a board would flex under different weight IE how much a board would flex under X amount of force then while we were at it thought we will see what point our boards will break at compared to others on the market! Pretty valid testing
