May Allah swt reward Shaikh Ammar AlShukry and the AlMaghrib team for these refreshing insights. May this video reach those who need to see it. I really admire this brother's flowing, poetic style of speech and depth of knowledge and really appreciate every merciful example he shared from our beautiful deen and history. Only Allah subhana wa ta'ala could purify the corrupted society of al Jahiliyyah and reverse their culture from burying girls to honoring and cherishing them through His guidance. I love how Shaikh AlShukry said that women have dignity independent of their relationship to men. By virtue of being Allah's creation, just as men are, women aren't just "somebody's daughter," but somebody themselves! And I love the idea of men investing in women's spirituality, not just their attire. If only the societies that devalue their women knew what they were costing themselves, the unique and sorely needed good that women have to offer the world and the profound blessings that ar Rahman bestows upon those who treat women with respect. Jazakum Allah khair, and may Allah swt guide our ummah and all people!

Wow! This has to be shared with everyone who has daughters. I have one daughter (only child) and named her after Maryam AS and I feel blessed Alhamdulilah. May Allah make us of those whom are taken to jannah with their daughters and children IA ameen.

Women our Mothers our sisters our Scholars - please choose a title that explains this video is about women - so beautiful and empowering Mashallah - thank you for the whole series but particularly the emphasis on how highly regarded women were in earlier times - Now a days the injustice to women is not just to neglect them and oppress him but also the other extreme: they are told they are not ANYONE's responsiblitiy - they have to fend for themselves financially and otherwise - Men no longer understand their Godly responsiblility financially and socially to women - wifes, mothers, ssters, daughters - so hard to see so many great women educated and pious and modern yet now oppressed in modern ways !!!

I have a Son...Praise be to Allah (swt)!!! BUT..now, I'd like to have a daughter Insha Allah. In my culture, a Son is a requirement, we have to pass the lineage and the name, so I got that handled right after Desert Storm. A daughter would probably give me much laughter and joy form having to coddle and raise her to be a good Muslimah wife, which of course, I would help support her and her husband as they walk the straight path under Islam.
Inshallah may Allah swt bless you with a daughter, and don’t forget to also raise your son to be a good husband

What was the name of the female scholars he mentioned I would like to look them up In Shaa Allah
Fatimah bint Muhammad Al-Samarqandi and the daughter of Sa'id ibn Al-Musayyab (rah.). Unfortunately the name of the daughter of Sa'id (rah.) seems to not have not been recorded by the narrator. Check
out the book "Al-Muhaddithat: the women scholars in Islam" by Shaykh Akram Nadwi, both are briefly mentioned.
