The Indian newcomers were throwing a fit about Shiva being an enemy, and yet here you are punching the Virgin Mary in the face. MegaTen is so weird and I love it
Which is weird. Yes, you fight shiva, but he’s never portrayed as evil. I could see people being mad if they portrayed him out of character in a negative way, but the game literally calls him a “benevolent god.” Only reason you fight him is for ideological reasons
Really? his depiction in the game is quite faithful, why would they get mad at it?
@@jhairccorimanya1806 The most common complaints are Shiva being called a "demon" (apparently unaware that Megaten does this to everything, including many humans), and the very concept of fighting Shiva at all (again, this is Megaten)
@@TARINunit9 sounds like something an elder or some orthodox followers would complain, I can't imagine those being complaints of some YOUNG MAN.
Shiva was the chillest dude with one of the best themes and the hardest boss in the game, also one of the best team members you could wish for so Hindus got some good representation here i say. But then again we also had complaints about Krishna in smt 4 apocalypse

I guess it makes sense that her sole skill is to heal, since she represents the side that wants to keep the world as it is.
I could have fucking _sworn_ she once cast Megidolaon when she was at full health.
The world is under chaos in smt 5 though, the ending where you keep the status quo would actually be the destroy the throne ending

I checked her boss specs in VV, and you're right, she only attacks when she's at full HP. Thanks, I knew I wasn't hallucinating!
I wish she had a special move. Definitely my fav demon from SMT, prob something referencing her first appearance in NINE.
What I did was I used a Seal Gem and killed her in a span of two turn cycles.
Dude if I was in an SMT game thousands of years after my death I would be honored.
This battle is similar to the Belial boss fight from SMT4 except Maria can't put up a good fight unlike the former
Also like the Mara fight in Nocturne
This boss would probably be hard if you just had REALLY bad damage lol

@@emtims1670 trying to land an ailment on a higher level boss enemy, and potentially consistently since your damage is underpowered? good luck pal, and even if you do since she's higher level unless you got a really high affinity ailment user she'll probably break out of it in 2 or in a worse case scenario 1 turn

You need compendium of 75% first, then talk to her. You need 2 full NG+ if you want 100% compendium.
2x luster candy , frolic, impaler Animus for shiva and nahobino and then hit would win the fight
How it is possible to fight with her? I couldn't.
So, you need to get the Seed of Life key item from Sophia after getting 75% of the Demon Compendium filled up. Then, you talk to Maria. Depending on which route you are on, Maria will turn into a different mother goddess for you to fight.

i would say take the games portrayal with a grain of salt. im catholic and i see these as fantasy based representations rather than actuality. she doss have a giant t-rex carved into the statue after all😂

Maria here is more of a concept, depending of what route you are she will either, stay in her original form (Law), become Danu (Neutral) or Inanna (Chaos)

Receive the Seed of Life by filling your Compendium to at least 75%. Then choose the Law ending. (I recommend going full Law throughout the story before choosing the Law ending.)

"God" isn't the same one as the one here.
@@hungry_l this. In Japan all spirits/demons/gods/etc are the same type of beings and are all referred to as kami, the closest word in English would be demon so in the English version of the games all beings are simply referred to as demons.
