The Golden Seals only folded after they moved to Cleveland, and even then, it was technically a merger between the Cleveland Barons and the Minnesota North Stars that ended up having the North Stars being the surviving franchise. And don’t even get me started on parking 🤦🏽♂️. Let alone the location of the stadium is ridiculous when it comes to dealing with traffic on and the 580 hwy 🤦🏽♂️….

Not entirely true. The roof and exterior walls are the same as KeyArena. They couldn’t demolish the roof and exterior walls as they are deemed an historic landmark for being built originally for the World’s fair in the 60’s. With the at being said though, you’re right. Everything else is brand new
Technically Okc was the first team to blow a 3-1 lead. They blew the lead to the warriors in the WCF in 2016. Then the warriors went on to blow the same lead in the finals
well, from an outsider point of view (not even an American), I think this arena should not be demolished. why? because it could become alternatives to other indoor events whom most "Oaklanders" and Americans don't even think. alongside basketball, ice hockey and concerts, this arena could be treated in a million other ways, just like how a typical indoor arena is treated in Europe and/or Asia. it can be used for many many other different indoor sports: -handball -volleyball (the VNL tour could come to the arena) -futsal ("futbol sala"; indoor soccer) -hard-court indoor tennis (used in competitions like Laver Cup and Davis Cup) -and even badminton (maybe Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, Sudirman Cup and BWF World Championships could come to this arena instead, due to fewer permanent tenants) so it could be utilized in a lot of ways, and the developer should think a lot further.
The A’s still need a place to play until they get the new ballpark built or at worst, move. The old Bill Graham had their “ Day on green” concerts there to.

Got a bit tricky with night concerts though too never had an issue. Attended only one event @ Chase Center & I must agree. It's a nice arena though more difficult to get to & yes find parking. Also you never mentioned the Roller Derby Bay Bombers one time too called it home. Had a loyal following from Oakland & the East Bay as well.
The Seals were first called the Oakland Seals, changing in the 3rd season to California Golden Seals. They did not fold - they moved to Cleveland and became the Barons.
This needs to be saved.
When you look at it from a birds eye view it looks like a Mickey Mouse head!
I was just here on Sunday for a kid cudi concert lmao
Ngl you could've dove into the lore of the "We Believe" Warriors era, one of the 2 instances they went into the playoffs. Oracle was fucking packed
I dead-ass forgot about that arena not gonna lie I like the design of it even tho I never went.
oracle arens is used for concerts and other big events if you guys didnt know
You could have skipped the play by play commentaries
Gruber/Lacob bought GSW for $450M in 2010, GSW is now $7B...
33:20 you’ve must of never visited the football/baseball stadium during a season. It’s a mess bathroom flooded stinking the Corridors 🤢. I’ve heard from a few players they could smell it in the Locker rooms. In the oracle it’s not as bad. Got the same for the plumbing it’s outdated and prone to flooding. And don’t even get me started on parking 🤦🏽♂️. Let alone the location of the stadium is ridiculous when it comes to dealing with traffic on and the 580 hwy 🤦🏽♂️….
13:07 Masdison Square Garden :)
This was well done. You've earned this new subscriber
Loved watching the Sharks in the Cow Palace.
32:32. “Hosted a kpop group”.
Not just any kpop group. It was Twice. From the videos of their concert, it looked like the audio quality in Oracle is quite poor compared to other arenas they played in.
Fine. I admit it. I live in a cave in Nova Scotia and have never heard of sliced bread, Iphone, or TWICE. Seeking therapy and counseling. Thank you for your concern.
I would be awesome to get an episode on the Igloo
The city of Oakland is making more money with the arena now than ever before
I drive past it to go to San Francisco, it just kinda sits there lol
I Feel Bad for Oakland Losing the Warriors, Raiders and the A's to Las Vegas, Too.
"what happened to oracle arena?"
- proceeds to explain the Warriors history
So no mention of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love getting injured during that first finals against Cleveland? But you did mention Draymond's suspension in the next finals. 🤔
Is this a reupload? I don't get it?
Climate Pledge Arena is not a renovation of Key Arena. It is a completely different structure
Not entirely true. The roof and exterior walls are the same as KeyArena. They couldn’t demolish the roof and exterior walls as they are deemed an historic landmark for being built originally for the World’s fair in the 60’s. With the at being said though, you’re right. Everything else is brand new
I recommend you do the Pontiac Silverdome
Astrodome
Shea Stadium
Metrodome in Minnesota
LA Forum
Louisville Freedom Hall
Isn’t this the place where the warriors blew a 3-1 lead?
Technically Okc was the first team to blow a 3-1 lead. They blew the lead to the warriors in the WCF in 2016. Then the warriors went on to blow the same lead in the finals
You have to understand. 18 months for this arena is just mind blowing
well, from an outsider point of view (not even an American), I think this arena should not be demolished. why? because it could become alternatives to other indoor events whom most "Oaklanders" and Americans don't even think. alongside basketball, ice hockey and concerts, this arena could be treated in a million other ways, just like how a typical indoor arena is treated in Europe and/or Asia. it can be used for many many other different indoor sports:
-handball
-volleyball (the VNL tour could come to the arena)
-futsal ("futbol sala"; indoor soccer)
-hard-court indoor tennis (used in competitions like Laver Cup and Davis Cup)
-and even badminton (maybe Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, Sudirman Cup and BWF World Championships could come to this arena instead, due to fewer permanent tenants)
so it could be utilized in a lot of ways, and the developer should think a lot further.
The A’s still need a place to play until they get the new ballpark built or at worst, move.
The old Bill Graham had their “ Day on green” concerts there to.
California doesn’t have harsh weather but it does experience these things called earthquakes
While the Warriors haven’t become California’s team, we HAVE been California’s team since 2010 tho.
The Lakers will always be more popular
The arena that the raptors closed😂😂
Oh you have to show the legendary JR Smith dribble 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is there a vid on Candlestick Park/Candlestick Point, former home of THE San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants?
maybe it better that warriors sometimes play here 10 games they play in oakland 50 years in frisco from 64 71
1975 NBA finals they didn't play at Oakland arena because of scheduling they played a cow palace
I saw The Cure there in 1987.
Maybe the A’s can play inside oracle now
The building is still being used....lol
Remember in the 80s. During breaks there's a area designated for weed smokers. We use to fire up at games.
