His "buster" armors never really lived up to their names lol. I remember how his Hulk and Thor Buster armors really got crushed. 😂

Not Hulk Buster, or Thor Buster armor...it's just busted armor. Stark trying to fight god level beings, and getting wrecked is amusing. May they continue that trend in the comics. lol
To be fair, in the Thor fight Thor was already amped af in his King Form and Stark stated before the fight that his armor was still unfinished. And same goes to Hulk with the exception that the spin tech was sabotaged and the military wouldn't stop interfering and pissing Hulk off even more (WWH fight btw)
I mean GodBuster got the job done when it destroyed the Escape and the god controlling it…
Only buster armor that Tony has that actually did it's job was the Godbuster. Well, the Phoenixbuster too but it only split Phoenix so I'm iffy on that.

i dont think he thought he could actually contain him. i think he was hoping he could reason with him enough that sentry would restrain himself enough so tony would win.. apparently tony was wrong
@@kolat10 Sentry was already pissed, and Tony made a provocative move by donning the Hulkbuster armor. He then proceeded to attack him. What did he think was going to happen. Anyway, comics aren't always written with complete logic. Fernando made it all the more epic.

@Proxima I don’t recall IM ever beating the hulk solo in any armor. Been reading hulk comics for decades and never saw that once. Now he has teamed up with many different heroes over the years and with their help he has won but never one on one. If I’m wrong you prove it by pointing me to an issue in which he beat Hulk. And I’m talking 616 versions of both. No alternate reality versions or what if variations.

Always convenient when Tony's Armour gets blown off but the blast stops the instant it might actually hurt him.

Folk who complain that Bob getting Sentry's powers from a random SS serum is bs might get their wish. Sentry might become his own person and Bob might have been erased. If that's so, we might see some of Sentry's actual origin rather than his connection to Bob
@@status8477 the way I see it, the Golden Sentry Serum opened him up to something that we don't know yet and that's the source of his Reality Warping. My guess is that it's from the Beyond. It would explain a lot about him.
For once I would like to see Tony make a buster armor that actually busts the britches of the cosmic being it was designed to bust.
Tony's best chance was the uru armor but even that got wrecked by odin like it was nothing.

For some reason these panels made me realise the difference between Ironman and Batman. Tony is Bruce without the bullying/ being a d#ck. Do you know what Batman would have done to Superman, his bff, if he had the void in him? Bruh..
Tony is more human - he every bit as brave, crazy and cocky as Bruce but we can see it for force bravado sometimes so when he does win it's more like dope ass plan instead of 'he's Batman'
BUT.... Batman not being portrayed as just human is more of the traditional super hero trope... someone who you can aspire to be like but know you can never obtain that level. Larger than life even among his super hero community. Others think Bruce is just this personification of something while Tony is one of the smartest and cockiest men in the world. Obvious nothing to sh*t on.. but with Tony other heroes can see the disconnect/ differences/ strength that seperates them from Tony thus making him more human and thus more amazing.

This is amazing, the visuals go hard. The Sentry is literally one of the greatest characters in Marvel when he's done correctly. Donny Cates just has no clue what he's doing with him.

Marvel wanted to make an OP but they underutilize him and make him rely on the void even tho he wouldn't need it for every situation, they gave him a lot of powers but they underutilized him and barely uses them and we might not know if he scales up to the opponent he's fighting because the writers barely utilize him and make underutilized, Marvel screwed up this character gravely.
@@eivor3975 facts. Paul Jenkins, Rick Veitch, and Jeff Lemire seemed to get it. Other writers just don't get him psychologically and usually forget that they're all three the same person. When done right he should be a nuclear deterrent in a major battle. An absolute last option, not the first like Donny Cates and Michael Bendis did. Although I did like Dark Reign and the methods and lengths Osborn went to manipulate Bob in Dark Avengers.

Too bad Tony didn't call on Hyperion to help out. The two of them together might have had a chance. Sentry's weakness is his mental instability. When revealed, that would be the time to finish off and contain The Sentry.

They have no way to exploit his mind, and even a weakened Sentry beat WW Hulk and Blue Marvel on separate occasions, so Hyperion wouldn't be too difficult given that Blue Marvel beat King Hyperion.

Sentry is a powerful character, but this feat is not as impressive as it should be, the only good "Hulkbuster" which Tony had, is the one which hold his own against World War Hulk, even Captain Marvel has destroyed a Hulkbuster looking armor, Iron-Man's Hulkbuster can compete with Green Lantern's constructs, when it come to frangibility.
To be fair he was holding back on captain marvel and she was blood lusted. Also are you sure it wasn’t a weaker variant of the hulk Buster?

I hope Jeff Lemire continues his take on The Sentry. This is the second time Donny Cates has fumbled the ball on Sentry. This time was so bad that Ryan Stegman (other King in Black writer) even admitted they failed the character

Sentry power level are on planetary scale. Thor wasn't able to defeat sentry properly and sentry able to go toe to toe with raging hulk. Ironman was outmatch in all way even with his buster suit.

God, the faces look awful. Overall, it doesn't look like the artist cannot draw, the figures, buildings, everything looks okay, but the faces look so weird it makes me actually uncomfortable looking at them.
