    9:00 I like that Marc is talking about size as a risk premium. Value, profitability, and size are the best risk premiums to add into your portfolio along with market risk, or beta. Size by itself is not a great factor, but small value cap stocks have historically out performed large cap stocks. Very interesting to see how large cap banks have out performed small cap banks here.

    RY: The day I bought it, I had actually decided not to, because of the large amount of cash I was going to have to deploy to get a half decent number of shares. I got in my car - running late- and thought, "I'm doing it. I'll swing trade it, make some fast cash, redeploy the money and buy it on the next dip." I bought it sitting in my running vehicle at $93, and couldn't bring myself to sell after it went up $5 in a short amount of time. I'll keep it til death. I'm in my 40's. Can't wait until the dividend gag gets lifted off these financial companies!!!

    I invest into the 6 top bank through ZEB ETF, can't really go wrong if I hold a little bit of everything; unless the Canadian banking system collapses, then that's a different story

    • @YuriyGapon
      @YuriyGapon 3 роки тому +9

      I used to have ZEB as major portion of my portfolio. It worked well nicely for me. About a year ago I decided to rather start buying individual Canadian banks stocks rather than ZEB and eventually moved all my ZEB position to individual bank stocks and other dividend paying ones. Mostly to save on ETF fees and diversify more.

      Do you really prefer ZEB even after seeing the 40 yr performance of the big 5? I mean, the performance btw TD and BMO is ridiculously huge. TD 6000% and BMO at 1500%. Why anyone would still buy ZEB after seeing this is beyond me.

    • @cyclop41
      @cyclop41 3 роки тому +3

      @@jankay8569 It's really just a personal preference, you can never really predict the future of 1 bank. Looking at the historical performance, certain bank will outperform another during 'x' year, but then in 'y' year it's reversed. Being diversified into the 6 banks versus just 2 banks will allow me to take the average of the canadian banking system.
      Again, just personal preference, not saying it's better.
