You can decorate the bookshelves with other things... candles, candlewarmer, small lights, wine bottles, pretty dishes, other keepsakes, souvenirs, pretty bookends, small plants or succulents, pottery, diy projects, framed photographs, pretty postcards...etc- would make for a pretty filming background

I love the orange chair so much- The part in Jake’s office is so funny, my house has so many weird or antique cartoony and animal collectibles mixed with neutral beautiful and modern furniture and lighting. I am a super maximalist 🤣 but I LOVE fun mix decor it adds so much coziness, personality and texture. It makes my home uniquely mine. Your decor is perfectly you, beautifully done!

What really helped me in deciding furniture, I moved recently too, was taking screenshots of the Today's House furniture, and then a picture of the room/area I wanted to decorate and use a photo app on my phone to edit in "stickers" of the furniture. Helping me overall in deciding wether a piece vibed or not. It also helped with placement of the furniture in the rooms. I fell for the Hanok, Jeju pension, mid-century, Japandi design style.

I know the hype for furnishing a new home can be exhausting as it is fun, so when you feel like it's over or that you could not enjoyed it properly, think of it as a long term project. There's always new things you can add, or things you don't want anymore, or moving something to another room.

it's okay you got this sissel , don't stress about it it's always until you get to a certain point of laying down the base for your design then it will be more fun again, sometimes when its overwhelming its better to take a break and approach it again with rested and fresh mind . and it's nice to give and take with other people's idea sometimes even though its hard when your used to doing it yourself and have a sense of control . hope to see you more relaxed next week , have a good week don't forget to rest , love you

I love your taste and jake`s for the apartment! A tip if you want a cheaper poster is to find the image in pinterest or somewhere in the internet, you dowload it and you print it in a good quality paper, then you hang it with a frame and there you have it!

Divide the books more and decorate the bookshelves with other things to🤩 it will look great. Maybe put the bookshelves in the middle behind the couch and the lower one in the middle then it wont look that growded? The apartment looks great! Its getting cozy❤
I’m not really a fan of the bookshelves with other things on them tbh 🙊💚 also I am making space for other decor which is why the bookcases are by the end of the wall
I am very much a "bookcase is a bookcase" person - I have too many books to fit other things (trinkets etc) in my bookcases. If you're not anchoring your bookcases to the wall, make sure to get your heavy/hardback books on the bottom to add stability - also if you do end up adding other things to you bookcase - I'd avoid plants and candles to avoid any moisture/singeing issues with the books
Don't worry Sissel, you will continue to move things around for weeks till you get your perfect stops for everything. If you have lots of fruit that needs using, cut it up and freeze then you can use for smoothies.
Hi, Sissel! Hope you’re doing well. I wanted to suggest you look into Roborock mop and vac or similar robots, it’s the best thing ever. While it doesn’t replace my normal vacuum, the floors are always clean and no back ache 🥹 I am at 4:52 and watching you vacuum reminded me of my baby robot, I love it sm haha. Take care 💞

I heard a lot of sinks in Asia have this smell problem. There is something different they do in the construction. They often don't have a water trap between apartments. So the smells rise from bottom to top of the buildings. However there are sink plugs with a special smell seals that stop any odours from entering the flat that way.

Try 3M command hooks to hang your artwork. They stick to almost any wall and you can get the Velcro hooks to hang artwork
I would add incorporate some plants and small home decor to your bookshelves until you get enough books.

Sissel, when you combine Vinegar (acid) with bicarb(alkaline) you create base. It's neutral and basically it means that neither the alkaline or the acid will be active enough to clean anything.
I understand you may not want to use chemicals but vinegar and bicarb together won't clean and that is why you have to keep doing it, because you are essentially putting water down the drains.
Perhaps you could find some drain cleaner that is more chemical safe that would be more effective.

chemically vinegar neutralises the bicarb, the reaction is that happening. You're better off cleaning with them separately unless you're using that reaction to create force
personally i'd perhaps put the books in a order with colour / turn some around so the spine don't show / have some in piles as i felt it looked so visually busy . mix the books with the decor. as for the chairs being low you could see if you can find any nice "feet" to go on the legs to make them a little higher.
Haha I’m not really a color coordinated kind of person, but when I have more I’ll definitely turn some around so make the colors more harmonious! 💚

You don't have to hang posters or other art by straps. You can use tesa powerstrips. They can hold up to 5kg per strip. So if you use 2 they can handle 10kg. And it's easly removeble. So it doesnt leave any trace. Please look them up.

I have heard many places in Korea have drains that go straight down so there will always be a smell. But likely more so with older buildings. I live in a new apartment complex in Berlin Germany and even I have issues with the drains. I swear my neighbours cause a smell every time it gets warm outside 🤢🤢🤢🤢I have lived many places in the world and in Germany and even in Berlin... I never had this problem before.
