Beside Amanal, I seriously think he's one to brake sub 60 for the first time as a german athlete. Such an extremely strong runner
21km if you include the float recovery. Incredible training
Nice session. TY Matt & sweat elite.
Everyone are welcome to Kaptagat too.. almost every morning u meet Kipchoge and many more of NN team and Dr Rosa Nike elite gang too .. its more better roads in Kaptagat then Iten .. we have nice forest and car free roads😊 and quiet area
Nice video. I am gonna be running the Berlin Half myself tomorrow. Best of luck to all the other athletes.
Super impressive workout
Great content❤❤
Really good workout.
Great place to run, breathing all the exhaust fumes
Savage session. 65 😱😱
I like his form
Insane!
someting offtopic:
just watched the Hannover Marathon Footage from last weekend. at the women leading group was a bulky looking Australian runner (in comparison to the rest of the group) who tried to get some screen time 😉
Go go Jo Mo
i'm prep for an half in about 6 weeks and i was looking for a good session, but man this is brutal..(basically not recovery)
i'll give it a try though ahhaahha
Was thinking the same but seems like a make or break workout haha
Mojo will rock Berlin half
Let’s hope he’s 100%
As a running/ triathlon coach I have the idea that a lot of runners really dont have a good nutrition plan for their race nor their trainings.
Where is this work out taking place? Looks awesome with the flat road n no annoying people roaming around
Grunewald next to the Autobahn
The guy rests at not even my possible max pace for 5k ehh
strong
Very
Great workout idea ! Just wondering, is it better to walk or jog between long intervals ?
You should be doing the workout at paces that allow you to run the entire thing.
What is that float pace between reps? Is it tempo or recovery pace? If i do reps at 3:45, should my float pace be around 4:20?
probably a bit under marathon pace
I think something like +30s per km would be good like 4:15
@@tmhstyle2865 thanks. Just a bit slower than my marathon pace. I could handle that. Hard workout, need to start with less repeats like 5 or 6 maybe :)
I copied this training for 10k preparation and did 3x3km as 10km race pace with 1km float (40 sec slower). Was a good workout and took 2 days to recover so not too hard. So works also for shorter distances. For 21k then just slower speed and more reps
@@munkki2700 you could also If you want to adjust to 10k Training do 6-7 Reps but only 1k
Non-native English speaker here.
Can someone explain what float is, in this context?
Is it a specific form of rest or recovery?
The highway is so noisy 🙉
Yes sorry about that we asked them to be quiet
@@sweatelite 😂
@@sweatelite Have you considered using one of those wireless clip-on microphones? There is a good chance that the breathing would ruin the recording, but maybe it worth a try.
@@sweateliteit was just a joke referring to a comment under the last BTC video.
Holy shit.
