I can't believe you still haven't done his "Three Times a Lady" from when he was with The Commodores. She will LOVE it and it is one of the most memorable songs of the Super 70s.
Three Times a Lady is my absolute favorite Lionel Richie (Commodores) song out of the numerous, numerous great songs he has.
That and also Still. Although they have reacted to Sail On, those 3 are like my super trio :)
And they haven't done "Just To Be Close To You" either? Those two were his biggest hits.

@@Fruit17-ip4vl "Ĺady" is arguably my favorite Kenny Rogers song. It's funny, as I was listening to their reaction to "My Love," I was thinking about how it would've sounded if Kenny had sung it. I think it would've been great, just like Lionel's version. 🙂

Kenny and Lionel were great friends for over thirty years. Lionel wrote Lady for Kenny and they did it as a duet together!
I went on holiday with two mates and a girlfriend. She had the only cassette in the car, so we heard that non-stop for five days. That cassette was Lionel Richie's debut solo album. I was a heavy rock man through and through, but after that holiday I bought Lionel's album. I still love it, especially 'My Love'.
Thanx for sharing that...I have always loved investigating music outside of my favorite genres because I always find some artists and/or songs that I love for a lifetime. I'm guessing that's why many of us are a Sub to this channel...

Lionel Ritchie, the greatest writer of love songs of the R&B/R&R era. This is one of my very favorites and I'm glad you guys found it. There's many more in his arsenal such as "Ballerina Girl", "Three Times A Lady", "Zoom", "Truly", and "Still".

I love this song by Lionel Richie. You don't hear it alot but it was always a good song. But then all of Lionel's songs to me were good. The ones he sung with the Commodores the ones he did by himself and the ones he wrote for other artists. He was the whole package. He was the real deal.
“TRULY” is one of his most beautiful ballads. It never fails to get me teary.
