Good luck with your eye surgery. My mom has had cataract surgery and her vision is great. Love your parade. So many big projects!!! Beautiful stitching.
I am a new subscriber and your projects are beautiful. I recently has cataract surgery on my left eye -January 16th. and will have the right eye done February 21st. I've worn glasses since I was 8 years old. Then I wore contact lenses. What started out as being a routine check for contacts resulted in being told I needed surgery. I am so grateful for the surgery. Everything is so clear. My stitching looks so vibrant. Some of my pieces, I stitched while looking through cloudy lens , I now see what they really look like. You will be so glad to have it done. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching.
Thank you for subscribing and commenting. I'm ready to get my eyes done. I don't seem to have cloudiness just blurry. My right eye is scheduled for the 31st. Looks like you and I both will have one on Feb 21st. Good luck with yours.
Hello my name is Maryanne and I'm from South Jersey I like seeing all your cross stitching your dog is so cute good luck with your surgery I will pray for you have a good day thank you for sharing
You'll be so glad after you have the cataracts removed. I had mine done last year and now I have 20/ 20 vision. I do still need reading glasses for stitching and reading. Its so nice to not wear glasses now, after wearing them for the last 30 years.
Loved the Christmas village. Really hope you can finish it. Really enjoyed your video.l had my cateracs removed a little over a year ago. It really makes a difference
Your wip parade was fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to share. I,m in my 70,s and am having same issues with my eyes. Optometrist says all is good,so why do my eyes get blurry when stitching,I wear progressive glasses. Hope I never have to quit stitching as I love it and have been stitching for 46yrs.
You might see an ophthalmologist. My eye doctor never mentioned cataracts when I had my eyes checked and got the new glasses. I just kept going back saying I couldn't see with them. Then they sent me to someone else. Well, their eye Dr. Had also quit so had to send me to a different dr. Blurriness was the only symptom I have. Good luck!❤️
Hello Deana! My name is Laurel and this is the first time I have watched your Flosstube (and subscribed). You are one amazing woman! Your stitching is just beautiful and pristine and I love the variety of patterns you have chosen. I stitched a bit back in the early 90's and just picked it up again a few months ago. I stitched a lot of Christmas smalls and a few other small things and then purchased the Kathy Barrick pattern "and Heaven and Nature Sing". I had to chuckle as I watched several wip parades because I only have two wips, and one will be finished in a day or two 😊 I have never stitched on linen, with silk, or owned a project bag but I am happy with where I am at for now. I live in British Columbia Canada and have no stitching shops at all. That may be a good thing ☺️ I really enjoy learning and being inspired by you Flosstubers. I'll keep watching! Take good care and thanks for the video. 💕 Laurel 🇨🇦
Hi again, I didn't see you commented before the other one. I really enjoyed reading them. I don't have a local shop either. The closest one I have is about 3 hrs. away. I love Kathy Barrick designs. It's interesting to see how other stitchers stitch and organize. We all have a way that works for us. I appreciate you watching and subscribing to my channel. I'm behind on recording right now because I had a cataract removed from my right eye jan. 31st and have trouble seeing with one good eye and my left eye not so good. And now I can't see with my glasses either. I'm having the cataract removed on the left eye tomorrow so I'm looking forward to it. After things get back to normal I'll be making videos again. I enjoyed talking with you. ❤️
Thanks Mary Lou. I'm having a little difficulty seeing since I have one eye that had the surgery and one not. But I'm having the second one done on Tues. Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed your wip parade you sure have a lot of projects to work on. I had to rewatch because I wanted to count all the Rods and Q-Snaps in use. I believe that my counts are 25 Rods and 9 Q-Snaps plus 1 hoop. I can bet you have more waiting to be used. Good luck on your cataract surgery.
Lol! I've never counted them but yes I have more. My husband makes them for me whenever I need more. I don't use hoops so I'm curious as to what one you saw. Thanks for watching! Twice!❤️
I just found you and by now you've had your surgeries. I hope they were successful and easy. Both of my parents and my mother-in-law had thst surgery with no complications. Drops were a pain though.
Loved your wip parade. So many beautiful projects, my favorite is Santa's Village. I saw yours and I knew I wanted to stitch it. I hope to be able to start this year . Your dog is precious. Congratulations on 4000!
So happy to hear you have cataract surgery scheduled, as you will be amazed at the difference it makes. I had the first eye done at the age of 39 and the second done at the age of 49 (I was born with cataracts on my eyes), I am now 67 and have no issues with sight. Love your little helper. You have some amazing stitching projects ahead of you, but I know you will get them finished. Looking forward to your quilting and sewing room tours.
I loved seeing all of your wips. You have some wonderful pieces that you're stitching! I've been eyeing that Pink Sparrow sampler for quite some time now too, and after seeing the gorgeous colors on yours, I think I'm definitely going to get that to stitch😊. Good luck with your cataract surgery and congratulations on all the subscribers!
👏👏👏. Enjoyed all your WIPs! Thank you for sharing. And prayers for a complete and speedy recovery from your upcoming surgery. I think you will be very pleased. 😊
You’ll be so happy after your cataract surgery! I’ve had it for both eyes. Colors are so vibrant after! Love your projects and your sweet puppy just made me smile! She loves you! Happy stitching!
Great WIP Parade! Thanks for sharing - I know it must be hard to get everything together….good luck with your cataract surgery, pray it helps you oodles….God Bless❣️❤️❤️❤️
I love it when I see you have posted a video, you always make me laugh and smile! You have the most beautiful projects and your work is amazing. I have yet to try linen because my eyes aren't what they used to be and I am a chicken, really. Congratulations on hitting the 4000 mark and good vibes will be sent your way for your surgeries! Happy stitching!
Oh my goodness I love them all as usual. Keep up the good work girl I don’t know how you keep it all going. Thanks for showing us everything. It was wonderful.
My Aunt and my Brother both had cataract surgery and were very happy I have the start. Of a cataract on one of my eyes but doesn’t bother me, in fact my ophthalmologist said don’t let anyone operate on you yet because you don’t need it right now and I know that because I’m the surgeon!!! There’s so many wips for you to choose from! So many beautiful ones! I can’t wait to see you finish a flower a day. I love those colors for it! Looking forward to the next video! Take care

Hi Deana! Thank you for a video chock full of inspiration and beauty! And Tootie too! Congratulations on 4000 subscribers and best wishes for successful eye surgery. Happy stitching to all!
Learned something new from you - that there is glow-in-the-dark thread out there… never knew that. Looking forward to seeing all your progress this year, and good luck with your upcoming cataract surgery. The owner of my lns had it done a few years back, and she now stitches without glasses, where I need glasses and a magnifying glass to work on a like project. Great WIP parade today!🪡🧵
My parents just got cataract surgery on both eyes. My mom is 81 and she can see great now. My dad is 88 and he's been told that his eyes are doing well too. My dad has macular degeneration. It's stable at this time. Blessings to you on your procedures, I hope you're comfortable with it! 😻💕

I have the same problem. I am trying to hold off till spring break. I got new glasses and that only helped for a few days. I hope your surgery goes well. I will be praying for you.
Congrats on 4000 subscribers. I did enjoy your WIP parade and always like seeing your stitching progress. I had bilateral cataract surgery 5 years ago and have not had to wear glasses at all since for either distance or close vision. 😊 Good luck with your cataract surgeries and happy stitching!
Nice to see all your projects again! :) Best wishes for your upcoming eye surgeries! Will you please remind me - how many strands of floss you use when stitching on the fabrics you dye (22 ct hardanger, 18 ct & 20 ct Aida)? I bought some fabrics hoping to dye but still did not have courage to try. Did I miss your tutorial?!:)
Hi Deena, I like Mary 395. It’s a beautiful sampler. It has so many beautiful motifs on it. How old was the girl who originally stitched her? Good luck on finishing her this year. Congratulations to you and your 4000 subscribers.
Hi Cheryl, I pulled my pattern of mary 395 and read about her again. She didn't stitch her last name on the sampler when it was stitched in 1869 but after the research they did, they believe it was Mary Elizabeth Stead, and she was 15yrs old in 1869. I really enjoy stitching on her.
Hi Deana! Another great video. I have decided to do a partial stitch on the Peacock Sampler as it's the Peacock on it that I really like. I'm thinking the bottom right corner would be nice with the little bird and I will rework the boarder around that somehow. That's the plan now, lol. Good luck with your eyes...that must have been real frustrating time with your new glasses. cheers...Kathy 🇨🇦
Hi there I just love your dog so cute she loves you, Facing the same with my eyes too much stitching probably did me in ha.You’ve got so much goin on. You crack me up when you get going love it.
I love your channel! You're WIP parade was awesome I love so many of them.. you are definitely enabling me to get some of them LOL.. where do you get your Grime guards for the scroll bars? Or do you make them? I love them they are so handy! Good luck with your surgeries I'm sure you will feel so much better when it's done. Then you can stitch till your heart's content with no worries!❤️🪡
Deana, I enjoy your videos. Thank you for making them for us. Does Pink Sparrow Sampler have a DMC conversion included on the pattern, or did you do a conversion yourself?
Hope your cataract surgery goes well. I had it, and went well. You do beautiful stitching. Where did you find the sleeve type thing to cover rods on scroll? Plus the little clips to hold it in place? Happy 2023! 🌲🌲⛄️⛄️⛄️
I made the grime guards for my rods. I think there's a video on UA-cam. I just kind of winged it. I did add a brief description on someone else's comment above So you might read it. Also the straps I use on the sides is something I also make. I'm planning on getting some made and added to my etsy shop so when I get them done, I'll post on instagram.
I think I found a video on UA-cam but I just kind of winged it on mine. I don't really have a pattern. I just guessed at the width maybe 4". Fold over enough for elastic casing and sew down. On the elastic I used 2x length of frame minus enough to keep it tight on the frame. If check out youtube
Great video Deana. Loved the WIPs. Tootie is super cute and I love it when she 'helps'! 🐾❤️
I’m 65 and had cataract surgery on both eyes over 20 years ago. Vision is much improved. Good luck.

Great video! Could you make a tutorial on how you die your fabrics? Thanks 😊
I'm thinking about it. Just need to figure out how I want to do it. ❤️
I'd love to see how you change the sampler. Please send me a pic from time to time as you work on it.
@@thenightlystitcher Will do!

I'm glad they still had them. I love mine.
I made my grime guards but I'm pretty sure I saw a video on youtube with instructions.
Deana, I enjoy your videos. Thank you for making them for us. Does Pink Sparrow Sampler have a DMC conversion included on the pattern, or did you do a conversion yourself?
I just checked the pattern and it calls for weeks and the gentle art but there is a dmc conversion and that's what I'm using is the dmc
I hope your surgery is as successful as mine was. I’m not wearing prescription glasses at all anymore.
❤❤❤
I love your floss tube! Your eye surgery will change your life!
I think you have a beautiful name! I love watching your videos
Lol! Thank you! We spell our names different !❤️
🌼🧡🌼
Good kit parade! Could you show or tell us how you make the bottom grime guard for your scroll rods?????? 1:00:01 Thank you❤
I think I found a video on UA-cam but I just kind of winged it on mine. I don't really have a pattern. I just guessed at the width maybe 4". Fold over enough for elastic casing and sew down. On the elastic I used 2x length of frame minus enough to keep it tight on the frame. If check out youtube
Who is Sampler Girls by? It looks beautiful!
It's by M Designs. I'm not sure if it's still available but you might also check ebay and etsy
Your dog is cute
what fabric are you using for Cardinal Points ? I believe you were trying to think of Helen D. who recently showed her framed piece.
I'm using 18ct. White aida. Yes I thought of Helen's name after I uploaded the video. Her cardinal point is beautiful.
what do you do with your patterns when you are done?? do you sell them??
No, I keep them.
