Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"!
The boy in Skykomish WAS a bit excited, wasn't he? That was some good driving with that Cruise Ship. Love the Videos!
That little boy ! We did it ! ❤
That sort of unbridled joy is so heartwarming!
great looking pv’s on amtrak 3 along with the three way meet
Thanks VRF, especially for the CSS Coil Car at Kearney. I was unaware that the CSS had C/Cs with an oblong profile. I enjoyed seeing the Steamer at Chattanooga and I liked the Country music - easy listening.
Smooth, mellow ending to this one. ....just the ticket.
Great Musical Of The Viking Boat in Burlington And The Bridge 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Nice video and shot of Amtrak dropping the signal!🛤🚂
It’s good to see that the Southern Heritage unit is back up and running
7561 has a lovely voice, and of course so does the steam engine in Tennessee. And that little guy in Skykomish was so excited--it made my heart happy to see him! The ending was beautiful too--another great one!
Hey I love those L and N and Seaboard Passenger Cars in Galesburg and Ft Madison areas
CSX 4419 is still looking good in her refreshed YN2 scheme. She's traveled a long way since I saw her in person on the bowline after Christmas.
Thanks for the mow equipment
It's always so cool to watch a LORAM grinder at work.
That's a Nice Big Boat in Burlington Iowa
We like the Roanoke area! Show more of that place!
Ooooo I love the ol YN2 GP!!
I think that Loram grinder with the heavy Sparks is trying to take too big of a bite
Yeah I feel sorry for the 2 cars parked in the street. Hopefully they have a $0 deductible if they got any damage unless they can get the RR to pay but idk if you can file a claim for that with the RR.
Hi Virtual Railfan and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
Absolutely magnificent, thank you for sharing.
Love seeing the bridge go up and down and the big river boat going thru.
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
20:17 The guys on the riverboat's roof are always ready to push the bridge up a little more, in case of high water levels.
😂😂
On the Viking riverboat- that propeller system, that can turn on a dime, was used on train ferries in Europe, from the 1960's on! Extremely useful in tight harbors, and other very hard turning areas! Just a point of historical interest! Thank you 😇 😊! Real nice music, and excellent editing! Thank you 😇 😊!
Loved seeing that famous Green Tuxedoed Southern Heritage unit! Great video as always! Ya got VR Georgia shirts coming to the merch store? They'd sell well! Thanks!
*Awesome Video*
How do those refrigerator cars get their names. Interesting to see all of the different names they’re given. Love a train horn but sorry you just can’t beat a good old steam whistle. I’m in Wv and I love hearing the old steam whistles on the Shay’s at Cass Scenic Railroad echoing off of the mountains.
The 'Crescent' was a real treat. It looks as inviting as the 'Southern Crescent' which the Southern Railway ran from New York to New Orleans via assists from PRR and N&W. I rode in the 'Catawba River' car on one trip. Wonderful memories!
Very special train😃😃
0:08 the YN2 geep from last time returning long-hood-forward. I can actually see the entire 15-car train this time
1:30 switch sections in gondolas and specialized flatcars
2:03 nS 8099 leading
2:17 crossing between stopped freight cars. How did he even get up there because the tracks are elevated here
2:37 NS geep with MOW train
3:46 CSX 1899 leading
4:23 P42 92 and ALC42 301 "Blackout" on a silver service
5:00 Conrail 86-foot boxcar without any other 86-footers
5:16 an old passenger car on the rear of the same freight train! The paint looks similar to N De M's although it is most likely CSX paint that's really faded
5:44 UP 1989 along with a graffitied unit, Cedar Rapids & Iowa City hopper, and a new South Shore Line coil car
6:30 private cars on the rear of this Amtrak, the Seaboard and L&N cars from a few grab bags ago. A CN and NS triple-header passes this train
10:53 Loram Grinder working at night
12:39 combined BNSF inspection trains!
13:00 WOW! an Amtrak Califronia F40 cabbage on a surfliner! 90125 was in Phase V until 2014 when it was transferred to California and painted similar to the 1980s Caltrain F40s. The future of these is limited as Venture cab cars are entering service
14:14 solo leader and two barrier hoppers on the front of this oil train
14:37 11-unit lash-up of mostly NS ex-CEFX AC44CWs, one is CMQ livery
15:55 Southern 4501, followed by a hi-rail truck
18:08 ending with river cruise ship Viking Mississippi leaving dock at Burlington, turning around, and going under the lift bridge
16:20 was that the Chattanooga Choo Choo and 19:30 Viking cruises pulling a Rockford 😂 LOL great grab bag👍
Cool music video!
0:10 rare CSX paint scheme
I saw 8114 in thomasville today
16:00 Actual Chattanooga Choo-Choo
i was at union station recording a freight train in kc when they connected it to the amtrack train
00:40 Always wondered why those two propane tanks sit out in the middle of nowhere like that.
Storage tanks for the switch heaters.
And one of them looks like it's about to fall over....
This is great starting out in Deshler, OH which is one of my favorite
places watching trains on railcam among other tracks around the
countryside and especially in my state of Oklahoma thank you.
🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲
ขอบคุณสำหรับข้อความ! มีความสุขกับการเฉลิมฉลองนะครับ/ค่ะ! 🎉
I had seen Viking Mississippi in person while i was working for American Queen before they bankrupt
If they do the Pere Marquette unit in N scale, I might have to cough up the $. To me, it kinda fits with the blatant CSX nose ring.
what bridge is that in the last clip.. At Burlington? I guess it'd be the old CB&Q?
NS 8099 is fresh paint Locomotives.
Those blue ns loco and light blue and gray one going to wabtec
Did the engineer throw something out the window at 8:25 ?
Calm down little boy...
😊😊😊
Didn't you ever get excited as a little kid? We're so hardened to the world we forget what pure joy is like sometimes.
Why? Enjoy the moment!
Nice vid VRF
I wonder if all the passengers on the river cruise boat loose their wifi until the guys on the roof put the antenna back up?
Does anyone know what this is at 12:38 ? I thought it looked like an inspection train of some kind but the consist arrangement is bizarre. MOW perhaps?
Looks like equipment being repositioned, maybe stored before the holiday.
I believe this is BNSF’s geometry train
Who owns the dashing railcars featured at 7:39?
Hey man! Great content! Come to Lexington Kentucky one day! It would be my dream
How far does the steam train at Chattanooga go
About 2.5 miles one way.
17:00. Shame about the noisy generator.....
you call them darwin candidates but no everyone can stand around whilst someone parks a mile long train over a public path, either smaller trains or some foot bridges
You never know when one of those mile long trains will move and in most states it is unlawful to enter a train, moving or not.
1st
I don't like Roanoke area they show Too Much of this place
I like Roanoke. Good action there
Agree
I love Roanoke! ❤
Used to be Chealis Washington. It's what gets seen and submitted by cam operators and Moderators.
Pretty sure this isn't Charles Woods's YT channel. Think it's called Virtual Railfan. You need to start your own channel, buddy, or watch this one and see what we all see and enjoy it.
Thumbs down for all those paused on the cryotrains names
I like them
Be jealous that your name wasn't included 😮🤔😅?
I wonder why that bothers people so much?
@@terin1862 I do too
Agreed. It gets annoying. I just skip it
