Can you imagine the love and pride each felt in the other? There's a tear in my eye. One of my earliest recollections of my Father is of his singing Panis Angelicus at a local church.
One of my very, very favorite Pavarotti pieces. My dad had a great tenor voice; me, not even a bucket helped. What i would have given to sing such a duet with my Dad.
I'm always amazed at how loud these guys are. They're singing in this massive church and filling it with sound and totally burying that loud pipe organ. No microphones necessary. It's a beautiful thing
Who knew that Pavarotti’s father sang as well and was an amazing tenor!! This is new to me today in 2021! And if you’ve never had the privilege of singing in a cathedral or any space with perfect acoustics then you don’t know the effortlessness it takes singing in that space! It’s thrilling and otherworldly! Thank you for sharing this!!
The way that Pavarotti son cover the F´s sharps in this song is just fantastic. Is not an easy note specially on this song and I almost always listen this note opened in the most of the famous and great tenor singers.
One only word: FANTASTIC! Thank you very much for sharing the video. I am from Modena and when I was young i was so lucky to hear Fernando singing in the church and in the shop close to my home: he was a bakery and usually he was singing in the shop!
Both are already a principal part of that angel choir up in heaven, that sings the Glory of our Lord!!!! Thanks for sharing this Divine video!!!!Bravooooo!!!!!
Plan to visit Modena next year and see this edifice. Will also put flowers on their graves in honor and tribute to the two great voices of t he 20th Century. Grazei!
Pavarotti's dad always said he had the better voice but his stage fright stopped him from performing . Lucianno also had stage fright but performed anyway, with a bent nail in his pocket. 😊
Beautiful!!!! Our little daughter Marjolein likes this song very much as well and tried to sing it for us... On our channel (Griet en Stefan) you can find her version...
@charminglayla Absolutely. Fernando had a beautiful voice, & Luciano's wasn't bad either. It must have been tough for him growing up in the shadow of his father's voice. Fernando always said he had a better voice than Luciano, & on this showing, he was right.
@richardconte3837 You are comparing an old man with a completely natural voice without training, to his son who had years of training before his debut. Huge difference
Is this his father? I read that his father had a very good voice as well. If it is his father, then he's rather short compared to his son. But you can really tell the difference here between the trained and untrained voice. It makes a big difference.
this is a lot better than what my sister watch. she watches jihad fuckin bieber and one hateful dumpster. I hate really hate pop music these days, suck emotionless music.
One of my very, very favorite Pavarotti pieces. My dad had a great tenor voice; me, not even a bucket helped. What i would have given to sing such a duet with my Dad.

Panis angelicus
Imagine you’re getting communion at mass, and there’s the greatest singer who ever lived singing there with his dad, who was no slouch, either… 💐
Absolutely the most beautiful, clear tenor voice, and here times 2 - amazing.

Now we know where pavarotti's talent came from. He definitely inherited his father's voice.
A beautiful sight to see as well as to hear

I'll take dad.
A small, but I think, important comment. That is Modena Cathedral. The music and the father/son relationship are fantastic.

beautiful and we have to sing tomorrow for an ordination. this is one song i enjoy listening to by other performers.
This is a great piece of duet between two Pavarotti.
Our church did duet for offering time after watching this video. Thank you.
Fernando Pavarotti had a very strong voice. You can hear how much carry and sound he had.
Super!!!
simply wonderful
Magnificent!
Fernando's voice was like a superpower that is uncontainable. It Explode supremely.
I am learning this in my singing lessons. Obviously a higher version, but this is fantastic, and only the best version of this song.
Thanks for posting this. I saw a clip on TV and have been looking for it ever. It's so beautiful. Thanks!:o)

his Dad sings as good as him and he is older!!! Wow He was Good!!!
Beautiful and very moving. BTW, they aren't siblings, but father & son. Thanks for posting this gem.

his father was great AND loud. but yes, pav had the whole package.
wow...
@partytime12345 Also, it is Latin. Just in case you didn't know. :]
The best is with the boys choir…
ein einmaliges tontokument in vielfacher hinsicht: himmlisch, berührend

He had a good voice but luciano is a completely different level
@richardconte3837 You are comparing an old man with a completely natural voice without training, to his son who had years of training before his debut. Huge difference
Love this video, but did Luciano miss one of his entries?
are there any song singing only fernando pavarotti?, thanks a lot
@charminglayla P.s, just teasing, don't take it to heart. ; )
@partytime12345 -My pleasure!

that is his father
Pavarotti was surprisingly tall. I met him, and I think he was at least 5''11', maybe 6', and that was in 1999, and he was older.
this is a lot better than what my sister watch. she watches jihad fuckin bieber and one hateful dumpster. I hate really hate pop music these days, suck emotionless music.
