That is a really good question. There are several things that go into that decision. First off is how thick I want the glitter. I can cut my glitter paper to skinnier pieces more easily than I can the shimmer trim. You can cut the shimmer trim, but it's a little tricker since it's skinny to begin with. So if I want the full 5/8" strip, I will often choose the shimmer trim. Another thing I keep in mind is that the shimmer trim is thinner. So if I am using the trim to cover a gap between 2 pieces of paper, sometimes you can see the dip between the papers, under the shimmer trim. I hope that makes sense. The glitter paper is thicker like cardstock, so if you are covering a gap it doesn't sink down. I hope this helps! They are very similar products so a lot of times they are interchangeable. It's nice that the shimmer trim comes with the adhesive on it already.
I just purchased the sketch book, thinking it was a physical book. I would like to now print it but would like to know how you printed yours and if your used a certain paper to make it strong enough to last, I plan to take it to be spiraled
I had it printed and bound at Staples! They did a great job. Part of the process when you upload for a bound document is choosing the paper…I did the best one that didn’t have an extra cost. Think it was executive or something like that. It’s better than regular printer paper and has a slight sheen to it.
Wonderful layout. Your design choices with your adorable photos are great.
Thanks so much ❤️

Very random question: when you decide that you want some sparkle on a layout, how do you decide between using glitter paper and shimmer trim?

Sorry I didn’t specify that the book was a download only. I had mentioned it in my previous videos and didn’t think to mention it in this one!
Jamya, when you said you uploaded the sketch book to staples how did you do it? Email or do they have a link to upload?
@@monna356 if you go to their website to the printing section there’s a spot to start a new project and you upload it there.
