Lewis wasn't actually racing with Max at that tight hairpin, he was just getting out of the way of Max, not to sustain damage, as he had more to lose that race. In retrospect he should have driven right off the hairpin corner off track (as we see many F1 drivers do that now, when intentionally pushed wide by other drivers, hoping a penalty for that driver pushing them off to be handed to them)!!!! I was a bit of a Max Fan prior to this. Not hardcore, but he felt like the best contender to finally take a title from Mercedes. Maybe I was just sick of seeing Hamilton win all the time. But how he won this title was just really stupid. Max wasnt at fault here, so not blaming him for anything and he deserved that title, but the way he got it in the end as a gift from Masi just feels wrong. I have always unlike most F1 fans really enjoyed the mid-field battles as well and the fact that only selected few cars were allowed to unlap themselfs really showed how rigged this was. We always talk about Max and Hamilton here, but for some of the midfield drivers they literally decided that they were not allowed to unlap themselfs because hey fuck you who gives a shit for your fight over p10 or p8. Basically telling 60% of the grid they just dont matter whatsoever and should go F themselfs.

Had a lot of pressure becuase of the record-breaking 8th world title. And everything he did this race was near perfect. Got a fantastic start, managed pace and tyres perfectly, didn’t panic against Checo but calmed his head and overtook him,was gaining on Max even though Max had newer tires, didn’t defend the inside line out of panic like most would have done in the last lap, that would have closed every opportunity of winning ,but instead he had a chance to overtake Max but 44 lap old hards couldn’t do it against new softs. After Saudi Arabia, i managed to get them equal on points into Abu Dhabi with Max leading with more wins. Just a bit more (396). There was not a single doubt in anyone's mind that Max would be able to easily pass Hamilton in one lap, the only question was where would he make his move, and that's where he surprised everyone.
