Mac and Cheezy the flipper is rubber banded so it pulls downwards with something to stop it in the desired position. The flipper buttons just push the flippers and that makes them move. The buttons seem banded too but it's just the flipper pushing back.
Dude i just have to say this. you did an aweosme job on your pinball machine. nicely done best paintjob ever and a good mechanism. keep on with tutorials please your the man
As a child I tried to make many pinball or sort-of gambling machines from old cardbox boxes. They never really worked (a wheel of fortune with toy car motor was easiest). Later I made a primitive wooden pinball table with a bicycle bell in the middle and I wired the "=" button of a cheap calculator as the score counter (type '1' '+' '+' '0') to make most calculators count upward. This certainly also works with cardboard if you add some metal contacts touched by the ball.
This is so freaking cool!!! You should be very proud of yourself! This must've taken a lot of creativity and ingenuity! I also love the Nintendo themed design! Bravo!!
this is amazing! Nice paint job and theme as well. I've made wooden pinball machines before and I was looking for inspiration. Your video truly helped!!!
GoldKnightProduction I think the other ball is in a rubber band pit inside the castle and hitting it knocks the ball out of it, freeing it for multiball
Can you please show how to make the flippers? I loved this and want to try it out. or can you make a bit more simpler version plz? I'd be obliged if you replied with an answer
You did an amazing job! I'm trying to help my fifth grader make a pinball machine out of cardboard as well but I'm struggling with the flippers. Is there any way you can do a step by step tutorial on the how you make the flippers to work?
Wow, dude! I love cardboard so much, so i appreciate next to everything made of cardboard, but if i absolutely HATED cardboard, I would STILL recommend this in a UA-cam video. Nice Work!
I really enjoyed watching this video! Your pinball machine is AMAZING :D Could you make a seperate video where you explain the obstacles in a little more detail? That would be awesome :)
That's the beauty of a tutorial like this! If you want to have more detail on the flippers, then you should do that! This video shows us one way of making a Cardboard Pinball Machine, but you can customise it however you like :D
This video is the best! I'm really impressed and learned so much. I love making things by hand and I have a ton of cardboard thanks to amazon. Please make more of these DIY vids.
I want to make one, do you think you could make templates and more detailed instructions for the flippers? Thank you! P.S. Awesome job making it! I need to see if I can make any working bumpers, lol.
Very nice Idea and build !!! I'd combine this with an Arduino and an LCD display.... so you could get points when hitting special obsticals or the ramp.
Wow, this is cool! Amazing how exact you worked with the cardboard, it looks very stable, not like a machine out of paper! You should try to automate the machine for example with arduino and a few LEDs and motors!
Wow, this is amazing. From the base to the flippers; this is amazing! But I have to ask - how were the obstacles made? I have a few guesses, those being that the castle is just a toy castle from another kit, the mushroom ramp is from those "make-your-own-racecar" kits, and the wiring after the ramp is a bent hanger.
Thanks for commenting! All the targets were made from scratch! You're right about the rail being made from a bent coat hanger. Also, I used part of an aluminum foil tube for the Warp Pipe in order for it to be perfectly round. Aside from the coat hanger and aluminum foil tube being used, all the targets were made mainly out of regular corrugated cardboard, the exceptions being a small amount of masking tape, popsicle sticks, pins, rubber bands, etc
Thanks for the information! I'm going to see if I can try to make this. Do you have any tips/advice (how long it'll take, things to look out for, etc)? By the way, I absolutely LOVE your work on UA-cam. It's amazing!
Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that I made a new cardboard pinball machine! Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/PmBBTWuLzi8/v-deo.html
You should make these actual products I know i and alot others would buy.

No der this is awesome check out his 2 player mega monster pinball machine.
Trying to figure out why anyone would give this a thumbs down?!? Very creative and looks fun, building and playing! A++
Should have made the flipper-movers green, like pipes.
Bro I’m watching this in 2023 you have improved so much, not only your creations but your ability to film! Keep up the amazing work! 👍
Can you make a separate video how the flippers work and show how to make it that would be greatly appreciated.😄
Mac and Cheezy he just showed us that
Mac and Cheezy Yes please do that
Mac and Cheezy I will post a how to so turn on ur bell on me cause I will do it soon
Mac and Cheez
Mac and Cheezy the flipper is rubber banded so it pulls downwards with something to stop it in the desired position. The flipper buttons just push the flippers and that makes them move. The buttons seem banded too but it's just the flipper pushing back.
i had no idea it would be this strait forward. u gave me plenty of ideas on how to do a plexiglass one to go with my spray paint art :)
Nice!
4 years a go and still a genius you are a legend my man 😊😎
Dude i just have to say this. you did an aweosme job on your pinball machine. nicely done best paintjob ever and a good mechanism. keep on with tutorials please your the man
Me too i wonder how?
I really like this idea of making the whole thing from cardboard. It's cheap and very easy to work with. Nice work!
Thanks! That was exactly the point
Wow this is the neatest diy pinball machine out there
As a child I tried to make many pinball or sort-of gambling machines from old cardbox boxes. They never really worked (a wheel of fortune with toy car motor was easiest). Dude, that's great! Very creative and resourceful. I really like the design, too, keep up the great work!
this is amazing! Nice paint job and theme as well. I've made wooden pinball machines before and I was looking for inspiration. Your video truly helped!!!
*"Alright" intensifies*
In all seriousness, this is well executed. A better look at the multiball-release mechanism would have been nice, though.
GoldKnightProduction I think the other ball is in a rubber band pit inside the castle and hitting it knocks the ball out of it, freeing it for multiball
This is so cool!
I think I would've made the bumpers hollow and added bells to the inside, so they'd make that authentic clanking sound. :)
Please teach us how you made the obstacles I've been searching constantly on how to make those pinball tracks.
Hi Sean I saw this video and made my own version. The flipper mechanism is simple but it is cool. Great job on it! 😊
Can you please show how to make the flippers?
I loved this and want to try it out.
or can you make a bit more simpler version plz?
I'd be obliged if you replied with an answer
Idk why but I have watched this like literally 10 time I love it.it is very neat
You did an amazing job! I'm trying to help my fifth grader make a pinball machine out of cardboard as well but I'm struggling with the flippers. Is there any way you can do a step by step tutorial on the how you make the flippers to work?
I was able to make them from the image but it was very annoying and tedious to do
Wow, dude! I love cardboard so much, so i appreciate next to everything made of cardboard, but if i absolutely HATED cardboard, I would STILL recommend this in a UA-cam video. Nice Work!
I really enjoyed watching this video!
Your pinball machine is AMAZING :D
Could you make a seperate video where you explain the obstacles in a little more detail? That would be awesome :)

Red and light blue? That's Mario's color scheme. Clever, man. Clever.

Made my own version (Star Wars themed), a little bigger and more complicated but also out of cardboard. Hardest part was definitely the flippers.
