Telling the story of how me and Boba Fett became buddies prior to the Empire Strikes Back even being a thing. Plus my experience as a 10yr old seeing Star Wars in the theater.
Yeah, the ultra religious do tend to be the, um, well y'know. All childhoods are difficult, but I'm glad you've survived & my respect for you has increased by orders of magnitude....
Ha, I have the micro tech ultra tech bounty hunter in a tanto blade. I don't really carry my microtechs anymore but they are cool to have and play with every now and then.
@@UncleVoodoo no accounting for taste, ya know? I've been subbed since before the uncle VooDoo's War Stories, and remember the growing up fundie videos- that were great, this wove into those- but I think you should do the kind of videos that you like to do, with no pressure from me or anyone else! :)
Awesome story! We've talked before about our youth, me being from Central Illinois and I think I'm a year older than you. I lucked out when Star Wars came out. I remember the hype in school before it came out. I think the name of the magazine was Scholastic Scope (Maybe I'm wrong) but they had a article about the movie and like you I was "in"!! was a farm kid and Luke being on that moisture farm but wanting adventure spoke to me big time. I never did get the toys but i had the book and the large comic book and wore them out reading them. My "cousin" (who was actually the granddaughter of the lady who was my foster Mom for my first year and a half before I was adopted. Luckily I always knew I was adopted and allowed to have contact with Grandma and her family... though I still don't know my biological parents.) worked at a movie theatre and she got me in for free. I watched Star Wars back to back to back one weekend when I visited them. It was amazing. I jumped in my seat the first time the Star Destroyer was blasting at Leila's ship. I'm a bit of a knife guy and always loved those Bobba Fett OT knives. I didn't buy one but man are one of MicroTech's coolest blades ever. It's cool that you got one of them. Thanks for telling your story. You took me back in time this morning. Oh, I added to my bike stable, a 2017 Royal Enfield Bullet 500. It needs some TLC but man, did I enjoy the ride home.
I remember Scholastic Scope!!! lol. I only got to see SWs the one time but the library in town had the 78lp audio version and I cant even count how many times I checked it out and listened to it in secret. Every time I see a Bullet 500 for sale... Im so tempted. If I ever get a place with a garage where I can tinker I'd love to get one.
as for the Microtech... I found a place that did 4 month layaway but when I went to buy it they were sold out. So I picked out a different one and sure enough a week later they got another Bounty Hunter in, so... now I have 2! lol.
@@UncleVoodoo Libraries were great back then. School was close to the Library and they’d let us walk over and check things out. It was huge to me being out on the farm all the time. Loved the audio version and later on all the novels and comics they’d get in. I’ve lucked out with the property we have, having a garage. I’ve shoehorned bikes so I have to roll some out just to wrench on one. Two of them need a lot of wrenching. 😂 A 500 would be a good addition to your GT, a different kinda burble along riding experience.
@@pinkiewerewolf the other one isn’t a Bounty Hunter, it’s a maroon/black UTx-85. The Fett is my “user” and the UTx is my “pretty” one, and to be honest I think the UTx feels higher quality for some reason even though it costs $100 less 😯
It didn't break,.. the ground was a bit soft and that leg was stuck in the ground so when I adjusted my position it just got pulled out of it's socket.
👍👍 Aged 10 in '77 it blew me away too -- great story.
Great story - funny and sad at the same time! Thanks for sharing it with us, Uncle Voodoo aka OG Boba Fett fan!
Great Story time video, tks for sharing a part of your past life, ride safe sir
The force is strong with this one...
I definitely had to go up against the dark side in this story 😁
Awesome story! I loved it. I'm a huge Boba Fett fam.
I want a show that lets Boba Fett be the John Wick of Star Wars!
that was great! thanks for sharing
Great story.....
What a great story and I can hear in your voice that little boy in the 1970’s.
Thanks! I kind of got a chuckle at myself while editing, I didn't realize how animated I was getting at the time.
It’s a shame. The movie experience doesn’t really exist anymore. It really was magical.
BTW: that may have been your best video ever.
Thanks! Some people love these videos but they also end up being my lowest performing videos at the same time. Go figure.

I have this one and a UTX-85, I usually carry one of them at work or when I'm on the bike.
Wonderful story, thank you for sharing that, through humor, pain and nostalgia:)
These videos are odd, people that watch them seem to really like them.... but hardly anyone watches them.

@UncleVoodoo That’s awesome! Double fisted Bobba Fett blades. 😊👍

In '77' I was 19 . Dang it's been awhile back voodoo . Memories ! You talking so much , it looked like jabo's hair turned completely white 😅😂
