Also I am after 3 years still nuts about my GT. When I don’t ride it, I go and watch it more than once a day. It is a sex bomb on wheels😂. I ride almost 40 years and never had a bike like this, such an appeal. She will stay and get a RE sister, maybe SG… For 1 BMW, Triumph… one can have 2 marvelous RE’s, man😂
I bought a Super Meteor 650 and I'm very satisfied with it. A conversation stopper even in a crowd of Harleys. But I always thought that the GT is their best looking bike, and I probably always will.
I get what your saying! The GT is a real good looker especially that tank irrespective of the colour! I had my heart set on the Interceptor from the moment I saw it a few years ago! I then clapped eyes on the GT & for a moment(in truth a bit longer)I was so so tempted by the GT as you say it was SEXY AS HELL! I kept coming back to it just to look at it I kept saying to myself ‘Don’t Do It Chuck’don’t cheat on your first love! I went & bought the Interceptor & I HAVE NO REGRETS AT ALL! I love it! She’s not as sexy looking as the GT But She’s just as good & she makes me turn my head when I walk away from her! I now know I GOT THE RIGHT BIKE FOR ME! Excellent video dude😎👍🏻
There's no telling what a viewer will take away from a video. As long as you know what you want and need that's what matters. The GT is one handsome motorcycle.
I have a GT, I love that GT, however, hind site being 20/20, I would have prefferd to have bought a Chrome Interceptor and put clubman bars on it and did all the mods to the bike I did to the GT. If I had know how inexpensive the parts were and how much availability there is for after market parts, I would have bought the interceptor, that been said I love the gas tank on the GT and I love my GT. That ending is priceless, best ending I have ever seen on any vid well done bro.
Four years ago a dealer near me had two new GT650's with the Silver tank, one of them had well over 100 miles and they were year-old stock. Because I have a Thruxton and wanted a bike more akin to the Bonneville that I was selling, the Interceptor was more logical plus Gearhead Junction gave me a "covid" discount in early 2020. It is 743cc and has all the requisite parts that people add without going inside to add an S&S cam or Weisco 83.5mm pistons...big difference in rideability with the added get up and go, let's meet at milepost 45 or at Hevener's some time neighbor. Fred
Part of motorcycle ownership is finding that special place in your heart. A place that neither your friends or even your wife can fulfill in the same way. Riding for me is therapy, it definitely keeps me sane in this insane world we're living in. It's going on an adventure, that peice of life's excitement to refill your soul with a reason for being. For me, life without a motorcycle, is just watching TV,... and waiting to die !

I do think about the next one, and it has to provide me more pleasure than I get from the Classic. I am thinking about the GT or the Shotgun... I also like listenning to the South American stories, realy funny. Just be careful with your wife 😅😅😅
Love your interpretation of what it's like to own the continental 👍 but if i could just suggest, take off the panniers, you will improve the lines of what is in essence the british cafe racer from the 50s & 60s. The Brits would strip back enfields & triumphs, drop the handle bars etc & race each other at 100 miles an hour when the roads permitted from cafe to cafe, hence the name cafe racer or also known as the Ton (100 mph) up boys. but only if you won't to keep it as authentic as possible. I have a Himalayan and was seriously considering a monkey bike as a 2nd bike. Now I have decided on getting a vfr800 as a second bike and in a couple years trade both in and get a monkey and Interceptor.
Good choice ! I’m going to buy the same ( in grey colour ) , but one question is worries me : is his engine heated strongly and some riders say that the knees are very hot, especially in traffic jams in the summer. Is it true ?
Yes it does radiate a lot of heat in stop and go traffic, but that is to be expected from a large air cooled engine. The heat you feel when not moving is the air cooling doing its job, if you didn't feel it then that heat is trapped inside the engine... leading to shorter oil lifespan and engine over heating.

I fully dig all you say about the GT. You bought the wrong bike? Utter bollocks! I gotta an Inty, she’s called Edna, had her 4 yrs and wifey and I luv her to bits. But, there is no way she is as sexy as ur GT. Never feel you have to justify your purchase of a motorcycle because a few dead heads think your only praising your bike to cover up the fact you bought the wrong bike. They should give up bikes; they haven’t got the correct mentality; they should just stick to car ownership. I feel the same as you, a bike ride is never just A to B; it’s so much more than that. I live in cold, windy, wet and massively overcrowded England; clear roads are coveted; but I enjoy riding as much as I did in 78, when I first started. the interceptor doesnt even compare to the GT... I hang out at the local biker bar, and every time I pull up, I get most of them making positive comments, they even gave me a road name, "Enfield" I look at my bike, and the only thing I think is, "That is a beautiful bike"
The GT definitely brings the goods in the curb/sex appeal dept, while I do like the Interceptor... people who aren't "in the know" tend to not give it a second look, the GT draws even non motorcyclists to it.
Just brought my Classic home (a break in winter) and then while my 300 mile checkup is performed, I'll be bringing my GT home. I look back at all my bikes when walking away. My wife doesn't complain though. HAVEN'T SEEN her in 46 years. Her replacement was 17 motos. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️

The bags are quick release so I can add or remove them as needed. My build is more for sport touring than ton up boy riding.
