Dont starve, and dont starve together is an indie game created by the franchise Klei. Steamed twigs are the new result of when you put 4 twigs in a crockpot, or 3 twigs and certain other ingredients. They like ambrosia are one of the only crockpot foods in the game that cant be eaten by the player. And since they can just spoil like wet goop, do they really have any other function, or are they just a failed recipe?
Fortunately Beefalo happen to love steamed twigs and can be used as an affective healing salve for them. This combined with their relative easy crafting makes them an actually affective food to craft for any beefalo rider build. So consider crafting a metric ton of them the next time you make a rider saddle for Gorlex

U can do 3 filler like 3 berries and 1 twig still works wich makes juicy berries suppierior for beefalo taming early on

I was going for the platinum trophy and taming a beefalo was one of my last trophies. I had been feeding it crockpot dishes from my garden plots and constantly foraging mushrooms, carrots, and berries to keep it fed. I pnly realized that four twigs is the most effective food after accidentally putting in one two many twig trying to make dragonpie a DAY before it was tamed. I could have saved so much time and food.

You can also feed him twig directly, it give him a good amount of food, cut grass also work but it doesn't give him food or barely I forgot. steamed twig is still better but everything you feed increase his obedience (not taming) by 10%, as long befalo isn't hungry is obedience will fall slowly. If he hungry the obedience will fall quickly.

i mean steamed twigs are kinda the most ass healing item, idk why you'd market them as such
your beefalo's chewing time is based on the hunger gained from the feed
steamed twigs take an obnoxiously long time to get to your beefalo's stomach to the point that I mount and dismount them to interrupt the animation because it's faster
use tomatoes, people
and dig up spiky bushes to afford such expensive feeding and obedience fodder, at least 50
find em in your swamps (dont take your beefalo with)
and play warly cus he's busted and tame that thing by day 25
