    There are still many things that you can do to it.
    Speakers upgrade, Hirsch steering wheel, Install Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX head unit, replace all the interior plastic with the Hirsch parts, install alcantara headliner, install yellow HID's for the fog lights, paint correction, Vermont Tuning, tinting windows, install the missing rear light bulb for the fog light, install front footwell green LED lighting kit, install thinkware U1000 dashcam, etc.
    So, I think there are still many things to do for it.

    It is inspiring to see how much value, appeal, and uniqueness, you’ve to this rare and special Saab, making it the best it can be. Not that all Saab’s aren’t in a word somewhat special!

    I had the same problem with the expansion tank. I heat sleeved my hoses and used fuel injection clamps on the tank and havent had an issue since 👌

    Great update. Saw a UA-cam video where the owner used heat resistant tape on the coolant hoses. He has a 9-3 Aero.

    The mods I did to your car:
    - Maptun Coils
    - Upgraded Coolant res...clearly not upgraded enough.
    - Linkage and Short throw
    - Initial Tune
    - I replaced all the brakes
    - *Here's one you may not know* Upgraded your windshield wiper linkage on driver side. They're notorious for breaking. If you notice, your is gold, not silver per stock. I took out the SHIT plastic pin that holds it together too.

    Informative video, thanks! I’m coming up on a year owning my TX and she’s got 173k on the clock. Bought it with about 160k. Got a SCREAMING cash deal on it as it needed a driveshaft (BAD vibration), and doesn’t have the stock wheels.
    So far small maintenance issues but nothing major. GS midpipe and muffler delete mods so far (LOVE LOVE LOVE the sound!!!). VTuner stage 0 coming soon. This my my 10th Saab in a row and happy I finally snagged a TX!

      Hey, you’re going to love the tune, the standard car is lazy - the tune really makes them wake up, how they should have been from Sweden.

    What this car needs is polish (detailing)! You focus on the paint with the cam and say how gorgeous it is... the paint and flake is gorgeous, the condition of the paint itself is swirl and holo-hell. This paint would pop so nicely in the sun without the swirls!

    Hi! I have a Saab 2005 9-3 AERO that I bought while Station in Germany, I bought it directly from the Manufacturer in Sweden. In 2006 the check engine warning light came on, I took it a Saab Dealership in Mainz Germany, (That still existed at that time) only to be informed that I was not closing the gas cap correctly all the the time, (lesson learned) is what cause my check engine warning light to come on. Fast forward to January, 2020, my check engine warning light comes on again, my Saab has just over 72,000 miles, I took my Saab to a repair shop in Savannah GA., In January 13, 2020, named, Two Nut's and a Bolt, this Company (allegedly) specialized in Saab repair and other European models, they have done work on my Saab in the past. So, I was informed that a engine sensor needed to be replaced, at a cost of $11,00.00 that I promptly paid. They are alleging, the test verifying equipment that they have is disabled, and they are having difficulty acurring a replacement That's unique to Saab, that's my best understanding. So, if I can get any recommendations from the Saab community would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Would you ever consider doing auto folding side mirrors as well as auto dimming side mirrors and rear view? Pretty cool feature that I don’t think 9-3s got in the states. Weakest of Weeks has a good video of this conversion on his 08 9-3 Aero on his channel.

    Where did you get the rear spoiler from? - I really like it and I'm wondering if it will fit on my 2006, V6 model.

    Do you notice a difference with the do88 charge pipes?
    I have a 2006 9-3 Aero Maptun Stage 3
    GS Downpipe
    GS Midpipe
    I had a BSR intake but went to K&N Drop in
    Do88 intercooler
    Was looking to get the do88 radiator

    • @sokthearrith
      @sokthearrith 4 роки тому

      Mo I honestly can’t really tell a difference with the Intercooler, might have just gotten used to it. Went back to stock box with drop in k&n because stage 3 with an open air intake sucks too much air in.

    I was thinking of the BMW 328 or 535xi from 2008 when you were talking about reliability and cost of ownership. Could you even find one that is 100%? Would you be able to enjoy those scenic AZ highways? I feel worried just thinking about it!

    If you are searching for an aftermarket head unit you should look at Joying. That's what I got for my Biopower from 2009 and what I will get for the TurboX that I bought today 👌
    You have to go to Incartec.co.uk to buy the harness for steering control and BOSE system. Not cheap but works perfectly.
    I can share you how to do it if you want

    Hey,
    Im considering buying a saab as a first car.
    The issues are freaking me out a little.
    Other choices like volvo or audi b5/6 seem more reliable.
    The starting problems worry me most.
    Are there already sure fixes? Bcs i could find many ppl with the problems but not sure fixes.
    Mainly referring to the diesel versions here.
    Which motors are least affected by this issue?

    • @elvinhulten5101
      @elvinhulten5101 4 роки тому

      What model are you looking for?

    • @alexsaab8089
      @alexsaab8089 4 роки тому

      Not sure what issues you're referring to we don't have diesels in the US. The main problem for gas engine Saabs are igntion coils which are pretty cheap, and valves for 2007-2009 9-3 2.0ts. If you get a Volvo get a 240 I wouldn't touch 2001 or newer Volvos, and Audi I wouldn't touch at all 😂

    • @kloschuessel773
      @kloschuessel773 4 роки тому

      Jimo they are here in germany.
      My family has had audis for decades. Im not aware of any major issues really.
      And these b5 and b6 have parts readily available

    • @kloschuessel773
      @kloschuessel773 4 роки тому

      Elvin Hultén a sedan or "kombi"/station waggon, haha not sure what the correct term these days is.
      I dont like bmw that much, mainly cause of who drives it.
      Where i am (germany) volvos and saab are cheaper than audi or mercedes, generally speaking.
      And i actually think saab is "cooler".
      Saab and volvo often have really nice leather seats/Interieurs for their price.
      While mercedes and audi at that price mostly have worse seats, no leather and the audis often have the softlack issue(writing and cover on knobs and plastic peels off like sunburnt skin)

    • @kloschuessel773
      @kloschuessel773 4 роки тому

      Alex Saab that bad in the us?
      The b5 and b6 are pretty popular here in europe and do very well.
      They had some good engines, especially for a first car.
      The 1.9 tdis are legendary
      And the 1.8t hold up very well as well
      They used those in skodas, vw, audis and seats.
      Especially mercedes and even bmws are not that bad here. Mercedes do so many miles/kms...
      The 1.9 and 2.2 (fiat and opel) apparently have starter issues.
