Great review. I just ordered the MSAR Arctic today, i have a 6.75” wrist and going by other reviews and photos i don’t think it will be too small for me at all. By the way, tritium has a half life of 12 years so it will be a long time before you ever notice any dimming of the luminescence. You should get at least 22 years out of those tubes. Take care!

Thanks for taking the time to make the video. I wanted to find a review of these watches from someone who had worn it for a number of years.

Solid watch, solid company with top-notch quality in their watches as well as their customer service. I have three automatic Marathons, the Arctic GSAR, the Yamam JDD, and the CSAR (am about to sell two of them simply because I only need one) and, like you said, they are absolute tanks. I don't consider these overbuilt at all. They're definitely heirloom watches.

Great video, I really enjoyed your review! I'm seriously considering getting the white-faced Arctic model probably in 41 mm. Just trying to decide if I want the metal bracelet or rubber strap.

I have a JDD. This is the closest you're going to get to a truly current day issue Military analog watch. I found this watch looking for watches against EMP weapons. Coming from an ABC Casio Protrek, I found the GSAR too small for my wrist and how I like to use watches. It is a heavy watch, but after wearing it for about a year, I grew to dislike watches that were significantly lighter than this one. Dress up this watch? Absolutely, but the metal bracelet is the way to go if at all. Rubber always casualizes a piece. I did have a loose bezel and another warranty claim, but it's a watch that can be fixed. All the parts can be replaced. I will probably buy smaller ones in the future as gifts.
    Enjoyed the video.

    Cool review!
I've got the Jumbo size for myself and am contemplating getting the MSAR for the wife material.
As you say, it's a heavier piece but I kind of enjoy feeling that presence.

I have this version but in quartz. I have one question when you turn your bezel is it hard to rotate? I have rotated the 41 mm and it was much easier partly because the bezel is much easier to grip due to its size but it was very very smooth compared to my 36….. Thanks
Oh the quartz version is only 12.25 mm compared to your 14 mm automatic
