I actually a pair of that v.1 still going strong. Don't know how many miles, but closer to a thousand than a hundred. Really turned my head when I saw the color theme come back!
They seem to pursue unique colorways with Endorphin. Reverie with 2, pink with 3. Those seemed bit tacky. Mutant was straightforward (no gradient) but effective as a visual symbol. You could tell what it was from afar.
bro, i appreciate connor being very enthusiastic every single time he talks about shoes but most of the times his enthusiasm gets the best of him. like dude forgets to ask the basic questions like stack, drop, and weight.
I'd say its pre-agreed which questions he can ask/what info they want to give. Like the Nike volmero 18/peg premium, there was a lack chat about the weight, even though that was the obvious question
@frontierlandfrank5314 Didn't say the actual weight but said/refured to a weight drop. I saw elsewhere today that its still heavier than version 1 and 2, so I assume they meant the 3 and 4. A little misleading but at leastnits heading in the right direction
Saucony should always release ‘White Mutant’ color-way in every Endorphin series!!! (And in Endorphin apparel and socks color way as well!!!) P.S.Going to buy this colorway Endorphin series this year
This guy actually says things when he talks instead of just using big words. Respect. Big scaries on the plate redesign tho…the winged plate has been a winning formula for a long time in this shoe. Will wait n see.
The winged plate has only been there for v3-4. v1-2 just had a non-winged plate like most carbon plates, and so it's only fitting that v5 tries an in-between approach?
Yo tengo la v3 y he de decir que es la mejor zapatilla de entrenamiento que he tenido nunca, y eso q he tenido de casi todas las marcas. Con lo que dura la v4 no la tengo, pero esta probablemente me la compraré al 99%
V2 are my all-time favorite Saucony shoe. Wish I had bought more and stockpiled them. I've got a couple pairs stashed away that I'll occasionally pull out for special speed workouts.
My faviourite was/is version 1 and 2. Fast and great snug fit. Can be used for race day and training. Speed 3 I am disappointed. No more a race day shoe. I use it for training only. Also it is a bulky shoe. Speed4 I have not bought because it goes up in weight. Hope spped5 will be again a fast light shoe I can use for race day as well.
Love the iconic colourway, almost classic by now. Sad however to see the outsole pattern loose the forward arrows that have always been somewhat present up until last version.
V.4 is the best so far. I had the v.1 and v.2, they were almost identical with some upper refinements. I skipped v.3 because it was like an ordinary daily trainer on steroids, but average generally. V.4 had these og elements plus a wider and stable midsole. I hope that the v.4 key characteristics are kept on v.5
Funny to see so many comments love the colorway and note it looks like V1. I refused to buy anything Saucony until V3 because it finally wasn't so ugly. Different strokes.
The stability plate *wings* in the Speeds since version 3 need to be excised. A neutral super trainer should not include interventionist stability elements. The wings on the Speed 3 dig into some runners' arches and detrimentally augment the gait cycle which can cause foot and knee pain.
I hope it's more like the 1. The Saucony guy said that a lot of people fell in love with the 1 and used it for training in a lot. He should replay that section of the video about 100 times to himself and see if anything clicks.
Looks awesome. The 4 is definitely a "fast" shoe, whereas the 3 was more towards daily training and a bit more comfort. Looking forward to seeing how the 5 pans out.
Love the 4. The technical changes do sound good on this but definitely not a fan of the colour scheme. Going to wait until it’s released and stock up on a couple of pairs of 4’s hopefully on reduced price.
I'm curious to know what this shoe can actually do. I guess we'll find out in June. I'm more curious to see the update to the Triumph honestly because I haven't heard good stuff from version 22 and I'm stocking up on 20 and 21 for the time being.
The stability in the Speed 3 and 4 made you feel that you were fighting the shoe as you ran. It's hard to keep buying a shoe that is nothing like the 1 and 2. Wise they would have just left it alone.
Brooooo how do you NOT ask stack height and weight!???? 😝 Please tell me you know it 😮 Lastly, did anyone notice that the Teal and Orange colorway is the same as the entire new line from Brooks?? 👀
I gör horrible chafing in my heels from the Speed 4. Which is a shame cos I loved the ride in them. Bit my heels couldn't take it. The heel counter looks different on these , maybe they will work..
Perhaps it's not a great sign if they are just updated from Speed 4, which is a slight downgrade in versatility compared to the Speed series before. I wished Speed 5 could get an extra 2mm increase in heel and toe for long-run sessions. Anyway, what an early tease for June 2025 launching I'm more interested in Endorphin trainer definitely!
1-2 were gold. They ruined it with the 3. 4 looked slow but havnt tried. 5 has the iconic OG’s vines which is intriguing but why even put a wing on a speed shoe!
Soooooo many loved the Speed 2. I wasn't one of them, but I just don't understand why they leave the winning formula w/ a version, and make a different shoe, yet calling it the same. 3 is really different from the 2, for instance, and now the 4 is diff than the 3. Triumph 20/21 were loved, but they went off the rails w/ the 22. Just call them a different name!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Speed 4 was terrible: - Not enough rocker compared to 1/2/3 - Bulky heal that protruded further back resulting in premature heal-strike - Non-essential overlay/stitching on tongue that caused irritation. - Bulky heal counter - Overall it just felt like a bulky trainer. I gave em two demo runs then returned. I can see why Saucony is eager to announce the next version. From what i see it may still fall short of the 1/2/3 but I'll wait for the actual reviews and consider trying them out.
I agree with you. I was hoping they would re-release the 3s cause the 4s were terrible. Feel like Saucony is just doing the next best thing instead of listening to its customers. Guess time will tell or I'll keep socking up on 3s.
@@fast306mustang unfortunately to my knowledge, most the 3's were sold out a couple months ago with only a few of the odd sizes like 7/8/12/14 remaining in pink.
Started with the 1. Lived it and ran them into the ground. Got the 2 and loved it. Got the 3 and hated it. Went out and bought mor 2s whilst I still could. If these are not just like the 2 they are dead to me
Please let this be more like the 1st and 2nd iteration. The 3 was flat for me and the 4 is ok but not giving me the same pop as the 1 and 2. I will still get the 5 as I have hope
That color coming back will bring back a lot of customers for sure. It even has some of the vibes of the first generation.
I actually a pair of that v.1 still going strong. Don't know how many miles, but closer to a thousand than a hundred. Really turned my head when I saw the color theme come back!
Man, this colorway is iconic ❤
So many great memories in the OG
@@KoIhara Indeed. I still have Endorphin speed and shift 1 OG colorway
Hopefully have a different colour than this one. Some might like it but not for me.
They seem to pursue unique colorways with Endorphin. Reverie with 2, pink with 3. Those seemed bit tacky. Mutant was straightforward (no gradient) but effective as a visual symbol. You could tell what it was from afar.
Eh, it may be iconic but it’s not that great looking lol
I love this right away. This looks better than Speed 4 already to me. Less bulk in the heel. Better looking!
Amen - hope it’s regained more aggressive rocker too
experienced heel drag when I run on the 4th version, hope this one would get better similar to the 3rd version
bro, i appreciate connor being very enthusiastic every single time he talks about shoes but most of the times his enthusiasm gets the best of him. like dude forgets to ask the basic questions like stack, drop, and weight.
I'd say its pre-agreed which questions he can ask/what info they want to give. Like the Nike volmero 18/peg premium, there was a lack chat about the weight, even though that was the obvious question
He said the weight? Also, drop is gonna be 8 like all of Saucony endorphins line.
@frontierlandfrank5314 Didn't say the actual weight but said/refured to a weight drop. I saw elsewhere today that its still heavier than version 1 and 2, so I assume they meant the 3 and 4. A little misleading but at leastnits heading in the right direction
@@palmyarmyswim they said it’s 8 oz in the video
Stoked for this. Love my 3 and 4. Saucony Trainer looks intriguing as well.
I still have a pair of version one in the same colorway. And they are still performing quite well.
I also have the 1 and 4, the speed 1 is more bouncy than the 4
My wife threw away her 1s this year after they finally fell to bits.
Saucony should always release ‘White Mutant’ color-way in every Endorphin series!!! (And in Endorphin apparel and socks color way as well!!!)
P.S.Going to buy this colorway Endorphin series this year
If they make track jacket in the mutant styling, I’m all for it. Gotta make it happen!
@@KoIhara Yes sir 🫡
Re-release the 2’s I beg you
Best version by far!
I agree, still my favorite Speed version
Please release it in a wide like they did in the Speed 3. There were no wides for the Speed 4.
This!!!!
I got the 4 and it was just to narrow. The 3 I could get away with a standard width but not the 4
Finally. A great colorway from saucony. Those speed 4 colorways were 🥴
The color 😍. I still have a pair of 1’s that I run in. These look like it’s back to the original

Nahhh 3 was the best by far

Just bring back the original Speed; problem solved. Could even do a limited time only sale like the McRibb 😂
👍🏻 with better grip
@ yes! Good callout
Yes. Best shoe ever made. Just less squeak
Original speed with the speed 2 firmness and speed 4 stack height and toebox
The GOAT is back!
funny he said this is more off the speed 4 when other reps say they bring the 2 and 3 feeling back :P
looks like a mach 6
That was my first thought too--looks like a copy and paste of the Mach 6 silhouette
Thinks it looks like the OG Speed 1 😉
Looks like the Hoka Mach 6 imo
I still run in V1 (500 km) and V2 (300 K), amazing shoes. This could be a reason to go back to Saucony.
Lol you aint putting any kms 🤣
@LHNguyens that, as well as I buy too many shoes 😆
I just hope that it lives up to the hype. From the video it's looking like a good update.
Love the iconic colourway, almost classic by now. Sad however to see the outsole pattern loose the forward arrows that have always been somewhat present up until last version.
My Number 1 fav non carbon plated daily trainer is still speed 1.
Buying a pair just because of the Mutant colorways. (The original Speed, Ride, and Triumph were my favorite)
Well done @Saucony!! 👏
V1 colorway. Nice!
Buying two pairs! Take my money now
Good morning. ¡¡¡¡¡¡Saucony E. speed 5 for ever!!!!!!. Thanks Connor. Like. Cheers.
Wing removed on lateral side? I'm sold!
This looks great. I was disappointed with the 3 but the 4 as my training shoe, with the pro 4 as my race shoe, got me a PB in my last marathon.
The Hokauny Mach Speed 5000
Stack height and drop? Same?
V.4 is the best so far. I had the v.1 and v.2, they were almost identical with some upper refinements. I skipped v.3 because it was like an ordinary daily trainer on steroids, but average generally. OG COLORWAY ❤
Thankfully there's more competition in the market now, €200+ is too much for a shoe like this
Love this color ways. Remind me for Speed 1. How about Endorphin Pro 5 update Or discontinued?
Funny to see so many comments love the colorway and note it looks like V1. I refused to buy anything Saucony until V3 because it finally wasn't so ugly. Different strokes.
Welcome back, Mutant Green colorway!
What about the laces? They were terrible on SP4. Had to change them

Correct 👍🏻👌🏼
Is there a wide variety?
Please bring the wides back!!!!
Loved my 1 (best ever), hate the 4, this looks like more like the 1. Good. The 4 is much slower than the 1. The 1 is the best supertrainer ever.
Speed 1 is GOAT
the speed has been getting slower maybe this will have the fun factor of V1-3
When everyone was buying them instead of the pro 1-2. The 3rd pro was a great race day shoe so they 'daily trainfied' the speed.
@@palmyarmyswim exactly. I have the pro 3 and the speed 2

I’ll buy this one even for just the colorway.🔥
