Not yet when I found it. I ran it about twice before noticed the drip out of the top end and I pulled it apart and got the water out so I caught it before it caused any permanent damage.
I had been using this trolling motor for 2 years with no issues. One day I was out fishing and a few drops of water came out of the head after retracting. I immediately came home and tore it apart to find this leak so I cleaned it out and ordered the parts and repaired before using again.
@@FishinTooling You can Text it. Minn Kota recommend to place in a bucket of water and blow air from the high head Unit. If you see bubble so you have a leak and what you have to Change seal.
Don't need all the musical noise, could use some comments during install instead.
Thanks for the video, gonna try this myself. My power drive has water dripping out just like you described
You put the outer seal in backwards
Last Back shaft seal wrongly installed washer must be outside to protect seal from fishing line ets.
I thought so too but that's how it was when I took it off so I matched it during reinstall. This was the first repair since it was brand new.
My prop will not move box inside just makes clicking sound everything works except the prop can move it by hand that’s it
You may want to also replace the brushes then.
Thanks for posting this, but you're a couple years too late. I had to do the same thing to a Minn Kota Endura 55 a couple years ago.
nice video... I think you put the 2nd seal upside down : D
I thought the same thing but that's how the original one was seated
Is there a c clip that I missed ? And I got the upgrade kit and the three washers are missing
The thrust washers should be on the end of the motor shaft. I didn't get new ones in the kit. Are they stuck on there maybe?
You left out a bunch of stuff a guy should know before tackling this project
Scott sorry about that. What are you having trouble with?
Did water getting in cause your trolling motor to not work?

Great video. I'm about to do this with mine Endura.
Sounds good. Good luck!
Why didn't you text for Water Leaks before go to the Water?
