yeah the engineers are pretty car smart on a lot of things like the different wheel whells on semi, molded disck breaks under the tires that you'll never see but are there....
That, along with the tires behind the cab that actually transform into bot mode. I like the vehicle specific details they added to this truck to up the believability despite not actually being 100% based on a specific real vehicle. It's kinda odd really, I can't remember the last time any transformer figure had actual transformation steps for a detail specific to the figure rather than being added for accuracy to some source material. They could have fairly easily left out the spare tires and gas tanks completely since it's not based on any source media or comic or anything. But the designers added it solely to improve the figure itself. That's nice

Arcee is in some parts alright but definitely better then the G1-ish shellformer arcee, the only thing is that the front wheels turn into a gun, which I’m fine with, but overall good, sorry if that spoils anything for you
Based on the gimmick toy seen a bit ago i think this toy is gonna be heavily retooled into Rise of the Beasts optimus since this toy and the gimmick prime have nearly the same alt mode
@@kamenrider5ds60 I have heard rumors that the figure will be retooled into an Optimus figure, I assumed that it'd be Beast Hunters (Prime Series 3) Optimus, since he also turns into a big military Truck, and is a very bulky take on Optimus, at a guess I'd assume the current back panel be replaced with a new attachment that can transform into Optimus' jetpack, perhaps as a leader class to accommodate the complexity of such a concept, possibly with his huge Gatling gun and Star Saber to get us up to he leader price point.
For having a wildly different alt mode than his Prime incarnation, he still looks more like Prime Bulkhead in his robot mode than any of the prior releases IMO.
Not gonna lie, this might be one I actively try to acquire. Sadly my budget is a bit more strict now that I have adult stuff to pay for, so I'm much more selective than I used to be when buying these figures. Which is part of why I love your channel my friend. Keep up the amazing work!
Glad to see these are starting to show up; I only recently was able to pick up the Core Shockwave. It's probably more relevant to the upcoming Drag Strip review, but I have seen people wanting to see under-represented Combiners, such as RiD01 Landfill/Build King or the Energon combiners, be part of Legacy. Might be cool to see Road Caesar or, with the Masterpiece trains being rolled out (har), maybe the first real Raiden (or G1 Rail Racer) in the States.
This guy just looks so good on camera, the promo shots didn't do him justice. And that transformation looks like a lot of fun. I appreciate how his wrecking ball is bloosh compatible, but also allows him to hold his shield like a centre-grip one. That could be fun with other weapons.
You can also combine the mace, riot shield and gatling gun into gatling shield. And I love it. Shout out to my cod brother and the hatred of riot shielders
I really do love this guy. and am so glad I picked him up. I'm a big fan of Prime, and Bulkhead in general. I think this is a great version of him! His articulation, is amazing, and getting him in a dynamic pose is "easy peesy, lemown squeeze" lol. The head sculpt it GREAT! Now, I'm one of those weirdos from the whole "don't use instructions" cult, and that freakin armature at the waste after moving the black section? Yeah, I didn't notice that, and man.... that was stupid frustrating lol. I'm just running down your legacy playlist, which is why I'm commenting so late. When I first got him, I eventually did have to come to you "the place I always come when I'm stumped on a figure" to figure that part out. Now, sometimes my refusal to use instructions is a good thing. I can find interesting little tidbits that may not occur to me, if I'd followed the instructions. The big one that improves the alt mode imo, for this guy. Notice the pattern on the forearms? they sort of emulate car seats, that shine through the windows. my interpretation of the transformation has me turn the fists, where the back of the hand is aligned facing the windshield. When oriented that way, they do an amazing job at hiding away, and reinforcing the car seat illusion, as they make killer headrests. Do that, the result is really really nice!
While I love the wrecking ball hand, I am not sure about the Energon gun. If they made the wrecking ball more Energon based then they would have been really cool but the gattling gun I don’t know about. I think the gun being more like an actual weapon would have made more sense but I am happy that he was given his wrecking ball hand. I also really hope we get a retool and redeco later down the line into a TMNT crossover.
Like the look of the figure, and the line looks promising. I do take some issues to "G1, but more," but it looks like G1-esque stuff is here for a while. Might as well pick it up before the paint apps run out...

Man.. I still had to watch this video and the JTI a few times and pause them to get his transformation. But one thing I did was mount the gatling gun on top using the port at the rear. I love that he is modeled after the 5-ton MTV trucks I sometimes drove in the Army before I retired. They drove a lot nicer than the old “deuce-and-a-half” trucks before them. 🤓
